Relegation Fight 2014/2015

The results tonight are only good for us if we go and win tomorrow, if we stay true to our current league form and lose then the only thing that would of come from tonight is us moving closer to the relegation zone.

Basically it's in our own hands and with the players we have it would be nothing short of a disgrace if we are left sweating over the likes of Aston Villa.

We have only lost against 1st and 3rd in our last 7 games so how would losing to Stoke tomorrow be our current form

A draw is current form

Clique???

What are you waffling about

Davek is right that the results were good for us tonight, why would anyone want WBA getting further away from us
Hahaha so for weeks we've been told that it's all ok because the bottom 3 are total mince, but now it's all about a side above us not getting further ahead? Total bilge.

Villa clawing themselves out the bottom 3 and to within 3 points of us, and now with some momentum from a last gasp derby win, is a crap result for EFC, anyone who argues otherwise is on crack

I would have preferred villa to lose obviously. Relegation is more of a worry than finishing below west brom.

i know mate, i think with Villa winning tonight it may start to hit home with the die hard fans who think there is no way we could go down.

I think the die hard fans would always be sensible enough to know that one could be in a relegation fight if one doesn't win some matches and those below him start winning. One better get some points soon

Now @davek.

Tomorrow night, Dave.

Do we hold our noses and cheer the RS on?

Or do we have faith in the Robertonians and raise a glass to a Burnley victory?

(i do hope it's the latter ;))

We're still in a precarious position, so I understand why people are concerned and rightfully so; I'm somewhat concerned myself.

However, you're right that people are going slightly over the top, but people's emotions are frayed from this dire season. It causes kneejerk reactions.

If we beat Stoke tomorrow then everything will not be rosy, yet it will certainly alleviate some of the pressure. If we lose then it will cause concern.

Of course, we need to do our job now over the remaining 11 games. But there's a snowball's chance in hell we wont get another 7 points that should easily be enough.

The Palace and WBA results make it easier for us now to get back to where we've been for the past 4/5 months too.

We can get to safety quickly without having to resort to that!!

I'd say another 7 points puts us safe. There's no way any of the bottom three will get 13 points in the last 11 games. No chance whatsoever.

oh yea, that'll be certain but the next 6 points will further us away from the bottom 6. It takes the pressure off. I done one of those sports predictor things and I predicted Everton to lose tomorrow and against Newcastle with wins coming at West Ham, Burnley and draws at Villa, Swansea, a few more losses on the way and another win, I had us finishing 11th

It's a crap and worrying season, but why do people think that sides that have averaged far less than a point per game for 27 games are suddenly going to get 15/18 points from 11, but that we won't?
