Don't be aggressive mate....I am making a sarcastic response based on out results.
Seriously...

Mate nothing aggressive about my post IMO. If you feel that way I am sorry. Me I just think this is so pathetic with the squad we have, never mind injuries, there is no way we should be languishing down here in the table going through future games looking where we can pick up a point.

I apologize then. The sad part mislead.
I agree with what you write about our squad, but all we seem to doing is drawing....hence my sarcastic post in response to the Esk's target for safety.

What do you want people to say based on where we find ourselves in the league? "Reckon win our next 10 games and get right up there in the top half"? People are just being realistic saying how many points they think we will need to stay up. Given how poor we've been in the league I don't see much wrong with saying it. I doubt any Evertonian is happy with where we are in the league.

Just shut up the pair of you and give me a big Evertonian group hug!!

No one can defend this season, it has been and still is a complete nightmare.
We can point to a multitude of factors that range from poor management, loss of confidence/ form, injuries.
I believe we will get beat today, but in some ways that is expected due to the gulf in expenditure between the two clubs.
After today our run in does become less problematic , but let's make no bones over this they are all difficult.
Will we get relegated, personally I don't think we will. This isn't a sense of grandeur here and belief we are too good to go down. It is simply down to 4 teams below us who in my eyes are worse than us. We all talk of the magic 40pts and yes we can hit that figure, but this in some ways isn't acceptable.
I have said on a few occasions getting RM was a gamble (I wanted him) , as with any other manager. I believe now we have him we give him time to shape the team to what he believes is his team.
Let's get this season out of the way and start to build again
I think we will all agree siting in a beer garden with a cold beer talking about new signings for the new Prem season is what we all want - no doubt some people will teetotal so will disagree

Leicester are not going to be overtaking us. If they do then we're already down.

Burnley will need a mammoth effort to get to even 35 points since they still have to play City, Spurs, Arsenal, the RS, and Southampton.

So, it boils down to whether we can maintain some of our current points cushion against any one of Villa, QPR, Hull or Sunderland.

Of that lot, Villa and Sunderland have the easiest remaining home fixtures but Villa have 4 of their remaining 5 away games against teams currently in the top 6. You'd expect Sunderland to just do enough to stay above Villa.

QPR have 4 London derbies in their last 6 home games -- and every away game is tough for them!

Hull have the toughest set of remaining fixtures. They have to play 4 home games and 4 away games against the current top 6.

And us? Certainly our remaining away games, after today, look relatively winnable. Our home games also, in a normal season, look relatively comfortable. BUT, we all know how badly we are performing and if we get a total of 8 or 9 points out of what's left home and away then that would be par for the course. Would 36/37 points be enough though?

Although like many others I'm still very worried about the situation, particularly if we lose the next two, looking at things objectively the sound money would be on 3 out of the current bottom 5 to end up with fewer points than this.

The fact we are discussing what QPR, Burnley and a freefalling Villa are capable of is a disgrace when looking at our squad.
Europe has masked a completely unacceptable season.
Funny how I am not 100% sure we will gain enough points to survive, yet at the same time I think we can win the Europa League.
What a strange season.

We are 14th now and its going to get messy.
We just cannot win even at home against the bottom club so we are deffo in a 8 team fight for survival.

On paper it looks that way - in reality, due to just how bad a lot of sides below us are, we only really need 9 points from the next 36 available to stay up.
