Europe has become major unwanted distraction for us...the longer we are there the costlier it would be for us at the end....Everton paradox

Really don't think Europe has had anything to do with it. Overall form has marginally improved when we've been involved in Europe. It was the period in betweenin December when we were shocking. We also threw away loads of points at the start of the season. Injuries, poor management, and old players losing form has caused this. Liverpool and Spurs are showing little impact to being in Europe. 07/08 was previously our best prem points total, also of course our best European run. It is a complete myth.

Most Everton managers get knocked out of both cups.
Tony right on form as usual; your reply takes MG's quote out of context....
lollollollol

Keep clutching those straws.
Hes gonna go from highest points total to lowest points total as well as being the first EVER Everton manager to get knocked out of both cups.

We got a born winner here, 4 more years.

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:
Could be read this way...hey presto. Nothing wrong with that

"On form as usual"....I'm intrigued. A poster with neg rep stalking.
I'd say it certainly wasn't out of context. I simply read EXACTLY what he wrote, so how on earth is it out of context. You do know he's on a wind-up too and he secretly loves El Martinez don't you?

Indeed.

Bruce is talking about being in a 'horrible relegation dogfight' and yet we appear to be completely unruffled by our current proximity to the trap door.

Psychologically that may help us.....Bruce has confirmed to his squad that they're well and truly in the poop and that may well instill further fear and lack of confidence. I think he's piled more pressure on them, whereas Martinez is trying the opposite. To be fair there's still 30+ points to be played for! and very few teams were relegated by The 1st of March.

The converse to that is that Hull are going to treat every game like a battle to survive, whereas we appear to be ignoring the possibility that we'll fail to get ourselves to safety. If it didn't happen and the games started running out, then those who'd been battling throughout might have the edge.

I think we'll be safe after the QPR game. 35 points job done.

It really is sad with a great club like ours that we are looking to achieve 35 points and for some patting themselves on the back. So we are aiming for the 35 point trophy. Congratulations will be in order then when we get there.
