Well the growns were very audible on Sunday like they have been all season and he's clearly losing confidence game by game, I reckon it was only 5 minutes old when I heard a 'f'off Barkley that's F'ing 5hite' when he layed a pass off, yet 2 minutes later Besic did basically the same 5 yard pass and nothing.

It's getting louder and louder as the season falls apart as quick as his confidence and I don't think its a coincidence that his better games have come away from home.

That kind of thing disappoints me, not my place to tell a fan how to act when they spend their cash, just seems weird that when you go to support your team at the game you don't actually support them or encourage them.

Forums are different imo, you discuss and let your true feelings known, but at the game you should get behind a player despite his faults. Obviously, I don't really like Osman all that much, but I would back him 110% at the match.

If Osman wasn't from the academy and was from some jarg European country like Denmark or Norway he would have been shipped off years ago. Academy products get off easy compared to others.

And my original point which you claimed was 'bollocks' is that we react and judge our own home grown players quicker.

Which is true, always has been the case. My dad has gone since the 60's and believes this and my uncle. I've been going since the mid to late 80's and have seen or heard it myself. We go harder on our own, for what ever reason but we do.

Personally I think theres a bit of jealousy that kicks in but it happens and there's no denying it.

Totally disagree still. Stand by the fact that every player has his good and bad days with the fans. Tony Hibbert gets cult status for example, but if he was Portugese he wouldn't still be here.

But as you said yourself it doesn't translate through the screen and there's a difference between what people write on here and what goes on at the match.

Since his second full season Hibberts had people moaning about him and getting on his back, it started with is crossing (which was odd because at the time it wasn't bad) but he's had it like all the others.

Hibberts been here for so long because he is and has been a good defender not because some fans like or dislike him, like Osman or like Barkley will be if one of the monied clubs don't buy him in the end.

There's two possibilities for me, either it's because they're not called Leoni Osmonaldo or Antonios Hibbertus, ie fans get excited over a foreign player (like Besic), or it's because they're just a bit crap. Probably a bit of both.

.....if Osman wasn't a fine footballer, highly rated by a succession of Managers and coaches he would have been shipped off years ago.

Baseless rubbish ignoring what a good reliable player Osman has been (one we've missed this season), also ignoring how long a succession of foreign players stayed with the club: Cahill, Arteta, Pienaar, Howard, Distin. None of them were shipped out were they? Comparisons to Bilyaletdinov or Van Der Meyde are embarassing. One was a drunk who could barely get fit, the other just didnt have the aptitude for the English game. Osman was getting in ahead of them even on the glanks because he was a model of consistency combining hard work and creativity.
