The Heart of Darkness - the making of Apocalypse Now. Incredible stuff - Martin Sheen having a heart attack whilst on acid and they kept filming it as an example. The documentary is almost like a film about a film it's that good.

yeah it's very good that, shows sofia coppola as a young child in it too, who now of course is a director in her own right

think she done "lost in translation"

Aye, she did. Boss film as well.

I do find it a bit weird the way Coppola's wife made Hearts of Darkness, though. Seems almost like she's exploiting her own husband.... but perhaps I'm a depressing old bastarddo.

how do you mean exploiting chum ??

perhaps the whole thing is meant to be a metaphor for the exploitation of the congolese by the belgians as per the original heart of darkness

I'm guessing not though

Coppola was apparently driven to near insanity making the film, an analogy might be your bird making a youtube video of you dancing while p!ssed that goes viral.

However this is the part were I must confess I've not seen Hearts of Darkness. Got it for me Dad a few months back and still be meaning to watch it myself.

good point, I think it's exactly the kind of thing a creative mind would want documented though, I'm sure he'd have had a say in it's release or not too

You need to watch it by yourself, it's quite intense and it's best to watch without distraction. I'll guarantee that you'll enjoy it !

Watched that after hearts of darkness last night. Great documentary. Amazing facts in there. GCHQ can intercept 1 million items per SECOND.
