Calling people fickle for being worried is not right. Football is a results based business, when things are good we sing the manager praises, when things are bad we ask questions, that to me is normal. Of course if we have a pop at the top four next year we will all be singing his praises, we are not going to call for his head are we ?

These are'nt questions being asked, certain people want shut of him regardless. As I said during his time here there's been a lot more good times than bad and based on seeing the highs people trust him. It's fine to question of his tactics, or management style but to go from a game by game asking whether he should be sacked or not is ridiculous.

Did you know that after yesterday's game we're further away from the relegation zone? That's why people think its fickle, there's no context being applied most of the time to these arguments.

I voted no but I am worried and disappointed about this season. My patience is dwindling but I am prepared to give him longer. If the summer pre-season is as disastrous as last years and we are playing just as badly, I'll be wanting him gone.

For all his baffling selections, tactics and subs this year, the players have shot themselves in the foot time and time again, you can't blame the manager for all the defensive errors and errors leading to goals. As a collective unit the Team has underperformed.
To a horrendous extent. Martinez certainly has concerns and criticism he needs to answer, but to hold him fully responsible when your Senior players with hundreds of games experience are unable to do the basics seems strange to me. Particularly when you consider the backdrop of outstanding European performances and much of last season I'd state I'm inclined to give him another season. An opportunity to prove this is the anomaly not how we played last season and in Europe.
Teams have bad seasons and half seasons. It happened under Moyes. Give him an opportunity to turn things around

I think he is simply one of the brightest newer minds to football, he has experienced success in his previous managing experiences AND he has the disposition to be in the public eye and stand up for his squad and stand by his decisions. He should be given time to mold the squad to his liking and we should not be knee-jerk reacting to a block of poor performances from his squad. This is a big time manager with a big time future and in my judgement we should not be binning him until he is a well-established flop. So far he is mixed results at worst. You should not sack your manager, particularly one as well thought of as he, because of a poor run. That's not the way to build a winning football program.

Im honestly not that upset, im a little concerned but i dont believe we have a god given right to win every game, so no im fine Davek ;)

What i find funny is you seek out people on here for being worried and call them fickle. You do not sing Martinez praises for having us in a relegation scrap do you ?

How is that not being fickle?

Not being fickle would be having the good sense and grace to take the two experiences together and say 'Well, that's the nature of it then. Famine or feast'.

And that's the way it's been with us for years. There can be no massive leaps forward each season or consolidation of a record Pl season like the last one, because we haven't got the organisation for it off the pitch. To ignore all that is to view things in an abstract way.

Dont like the reality of that? Then get rid of the owners.

A manager lives and dies by his decisions. His dropping Robles came back to bite him big time yesterday as Howard made a few howlers that led to goals much like he has done for much of the season. So do you blame Howard for the mistakes he keeps making or the manager for dropping a keeper who kept 3 clean sheets for the error prone one?

His substitutions yesterday as well did nothing to address the stage of the game. Was Besic injured? Every time he gets taken off we look vulnerable defensively and yesterday was made worse by the positive subs that Leicester made.

Why have we had no shape all season? Baines looked nowhere near fit enough yesterday, so to ask him to play the whole left side while naismith cuts inside and closes the game off is crazy! Is Garbutt never going to play again?

Firstly, I would love Martinez to turn things around, I also would be first to hold my hands up, apologise, and say I was wrong. The issue I have is that I honestly believe that he does not possess the ability to do this. He has shown this season a stubborness to admit when things just are not working, even defending terrible team performances with false positives, post match interviews.

Every team has worked out how to punish us, Leicester could of been anyone, just run at them, exploit the defence, and an underperforming keeper, we have seen this time and again all season. Martinez just cannot mix it up, he cannot suprise a team with a different set up or style. More worryingly the players heads have gone down and he can`t inspire them with a new style of play, one that the majority of the team are happy with.

Re the Europa League we wont get to the final, the next two games are critical and I can only see us getting a point

I understand and agree that there will be a few who want him out regardless, what im saying is, we have a right to be worried, we should enjoy it when things are good also, for me being fickle is when you call for his head when he loses say three games, then call for a new contract when he wins the next three games, fickle is when you knee jerk over three games for example, people are worried here because of the whole season. Some people are just concerned that he may not have what it takes to guide us out of this scrap.

Martinez deserves to be criticised for our League form this season as it's been crap, anyone who thinks he should be given a 'bye' due to last season is delusional imo.

Examining the blokes shortcomings and expecting a massive improvement should be every Blues mantra on the issue.

Celebrating safety is something I thought we'd waved goodbye to years back, seemingly its back in vogue in some quarters.
