Only played the first half, and mostly blame the tactics for his poor display against Malouda. Osman on the wing didn't help.

It was Cole that was skinning him alive...and he only played the first half cause he was abysmal...Lars Jacobsen had to come on to stop the bleeding. It was an embarrassment...he saved his worst game for that first half.

And Malouda. Left 2 on one most of the time. Bit like England v Italy in the World Cup and Baines.

Probably up there near the top...er bottom...He's averaged just over 1 goal conceded per game in his Everton career. Unfortunately the stat you're looking for is not easily accessible for older players from where I'm sitting.
so what your admitting is that your own stat is more a case of games played during a half decent era rather than howard being any good, let alone our third best keeper, he' somewhere a round a jason kearton for me

Never said he was our third best keeper mate...just said he's one of the best in our history. Which frankly isn't too bad when you have a #1 in Southall and a #1A in West...West statistically might be better really. In terms of easily accessible stats, West kept a clean sheet at a far better rate than Southall.

Hard to compare eras like. I had to laugh at the Gerrard>Howard thing tho...haha...talk about abysmal...his career was as bad as this season for Tim. I know you're on a wind up friend...I'll defo say top 10...but more likely top 5.

History will look more fondly on him than the current state of things.

Ref: Hibbert

Yes he was awful in that game, and got ripped to shreds.

But sometimes blues do seem to try and look at these things like that is what cost us winning the cup.

The truth is chelsea were a far better team than us. 9 times out of 10 they should of won that game regardless of whether Hibbert had a good game or bad.

Remember us playing very well in the league cup against them and still getting bummed with drogba' wonder goal.

we were a different team the moment arteta got injured, he was running us that season and playing as well as any CM in the league
