I would think he is ineligible for the next game as its his parent club.
We finally have decent options in that area so I think all 4 wingers will be rotated form now on depending on recent playing time and form. Against Chelsea I would start McGeady Barkley and Kev with Naismith and Lennon on the bench.
I meant in general im not that thick :) think he will start Lennon v Chelsea myself. Mcgeady is nowhere near good enough for us

<spits tea all over screen>

You'd start Naismith over Mirallas?

There is literally no situation in the world, aside from it's a friendly and if Mirallas starts over Naismith we all get struck down with bad aids, where that ought to happen.

I know everyone will disagree but I said the same about Besic - how have we came to the conclusion this lad 'isn't good enough'? I also said the same about Barkley & Deulofeu in the past.

Why are we so quick to judge YOUNG players on a handful of appearances. This lad has ability for all to see, I hope he gets a chance before the end of the season to have a fair crack at it. Man we don't help our players confidence wise do we? Feel for the lad being injured again too.

You liked it too @LinekersLegs

Christian Atsu has revealed his surprise at being named the Player of the Tournament at the Africa Cup of Nations.

After Ivory Coast edged Ghana on penalties in the final, many expected one of the Elephants stars to pick up the honour.

But such were the performances of Atsu it was he who collected the award, to at least record a personal triumph after a disappointing end to the Black Stars’ tournament.

And the on-loan winger admitted he didn’t expect to walk away with such a prize.

“I thank God for what he has done for me,” he said. “I always expect good things from Him but I wasn’t expecting to be the best player in the tournament.

“Any gift that comes from God I appreciate so much and it has given me a lot of confidence and motivated me for the future.

“I was happy with my performances and I worked very hard. I had a lot of help from my teammates contributing to my good form.”

If that wasn’t enough, the 23-year-old then scooped the Goal of the Tournament for his strike against hosts Equatorial Guinea.

“I wasn’t expecting to win that either but I am very happy people voted for that goal as the best in the competition,” added Atsu. “I will keep pushing and working hard to get more goals for Ghana.

“Playing against the host nation was really difficult. They came out with the fans behind them and they were confident they would win.

“I remember in the game, I cut back inside and I saw the keeper take two steps outside the six yard box. So I decided to try and curl the ball in the far post.

“From there, we were really organised and put in a lot of hard work to keep our lead and we scored the second goal which broke down their spirit.

“Then in the final, we played really well and created a lot of chances in the game. We held them back, we were defending well and we were organised at the back so they couldn’t hurt us.

“But in penalties anyone can win. I was very happy while I was with the national team - I was playing and everything went well - but I am sad that we lost in the final.

“Now, I am in good shape, physically strong and I am really confident I can give my best to Everton. All I want to do his help my Club move forward.”

I can't help but really like his attitude. Religious players usually irritate me a lot- but he seems very humble and sweet. Hopefully he can contribute.
