Roberto Martinez discussion

I'm on my phone so apologies, I can't control my font it's appearing normal on my screen.

I haven't said anything different, I've said is that we need points on the board and to bin his philosophy until he has the players who can implement it, which will be in the summer.

And Distin, there is no evidence at all, only conspiracies, mainly by the same people who think that Osman pienaar, ferguson, Howard are causing disruption as well.

If he was such a disruption behind the scenes he'd be binned immediately or his contract would be terminated or he'd never see the first team again. If none of these happen and he's a massive disruption then RM is weak and can't manage his players.
I'd rather he was allowed to bring in a couple more and work with those he knows can play how he wants.
The Distin thing obvious by the way Distin has acted, played and how he's been treated by Martinez. If he had another option he would have played Distin even less than he has. If you choose to consider that as conjecture then I'm not going to change your mind.

Philosophy, schlosophy.

I have never read such garbage

FFS it is a football club, not the London School of Economics or The Sorbonne or Barkley.

If it was Alex Ferguson or Jose Mourinho whose hole this fellow had crawled up I could half undestand it.

But it ain't......it is Brent and Bobby.

The high priests of philosophyball and whose teams are further back now than they were twelve months ago.

All's I want to see from Bobby is for Everton winning a few games and exciting me on cold winter afternoons with a bit of passionate soccer......not soporific crab ball which is failing to show an end product this past two months.

If I want "philosophy" I will read Deschamps or Neitsche.

In the meantime.....please keep trying to hit Rom early play to his strengths.

Superb. Chuckling here. lol

No, no and thrice no.

It's a personnel issue. Call it what you want: tika taka, possession based game - football that's played with pace and precision is always the way to go. Forget the length of passes, forget the time spent in your own half. We did that last season and we mopped up 21 wins. This season players are past it and/or injured...also he bought poorly in the summer.

Let's not get bogged down in all this 'his system is outmoded' stuff. You're barking up the wrong tree, imo.

Hmmmm, nearly sure you used to hate tika taka when Barca played it under Guardiola ?

This is going round in circles now; that's what I'm saying with the added paragraph of 'for this season bin all this crap passing and get the points on the board first and then start again for next year'

the Distin thing obvious by the way Distin has acted, played and how he's been treated by Martinez. If he had another option he would have played Distin even less than he has. If you choose to consider that as conjecture then I'm not going to change your mind.

Well it's January now, so if he's that much of disruption then he should be sold, if not then the manager is literally saying it's a free for all because he can't handle senior players.

What's more than likely happened is that he got dropped because he was playing crap. No evidence that he causing trouble at all, not even a slight slip from inside the club. The rumour has come from this site

It'll be ignored by the troll anyway. But trawling through the detritis of that poster and his cronies suddenly an idea came to mind. They have made a song and dance of accusing those questioning Martinez and gone on to accuse the same of being Moyes supporters and wanting him and his dour football back blah blah... happy to see Martinez do badly....blah blah...selfish reasons..... so you can say you were right all along.

Whats actually happened is the back slapping and self flagellation of 'being right about Moyes going and Martinez moving us on' from last season has the trolls and big mouths getting hot under the collar, suddenly their 'I was right all along haha' attitudes aren't looking quite so clever, so they have thrown accusation and scurrilous lies around like confetti to cover their tracks and stink out the place (further) to avoid being brought to book regards their inate stupidity.

The Palace game is no bigger than any other game (unless its final day of the season staying up or not time or a final suppose) so lets see if the team can outwork the palace team, and that means contesting every ball (and decision) meeting every 50 50 with steel, going for every header, and most importantly of all taking the game to them quicker than they can bring it to us. Lets have our foot on the throat of the opponents for a change, applying so much pressure instead of trying to absorb it might see the opponents make mistakes instead of having our unsteady and shell shocked nerve tested past breaking point yet again.

Is that Martinez comments? Ifso its clever, divide and conquer fans who have supported him will be all up themselves off the back of that but when it comes down to it at GP they have not been vocally behind them/him (that is not a criticism) Its almost like he is telling lies to get some fans on his side, clinging on to the superfan tag, he's so far out of his depth it is untrue, get Mark Hughes in to steady the ship and spot a bargain with what this joker is gonna leave us as a transfer fund this summer. We finished 5th last season (with Moyes defence, 3rd best in country) and now he has been found out at 1.6 million per place our board should be ready to find out the hard way if we finish 12th that's around 10.5 million quid straight away, and mid table teams always get less games on TV in the 2nd half of the season, which will be a even bigger factor in our transfer kitty.
