thats a very vague little story MrB
Bloomin' good point, that. As much as I believe he should go now, in reality, he certainly won't be going anywhere soon. Its not really a question of should he be sacked but rather will he be sacked. The answer of course at the moment is NO but that could change if the downward spiral continues.
Or maybe there should be a poll asking when he will be sacked with 'never' as one of the options. That would sort out the wheat from the chaff.
A win against Palace and something against Liverpool and the crisis will be over.
I am now choosing to retain my faith for that little bit longer.

Right, gotcha.
You keep on with your Comical Ali approach, and I'll take the cautious approach.
There are some on here still living in last season. Its not really a question of should he be sacked but rather will he be sacked. The answer of course at the moment is NO but that could change if the downward spiral continues.

What on earth gives you that faith though?A win against Palace and something against Liverpool and the crisis will be over.

Necessarily so. In summary of what was said, there has been a slow growing realisation inside the club over the last 6 weeks that things were,if not getting worse, not improving, but that the fear that things won't get any, or much better, has jumped significantly in the immediate aftermath of the WBA game. A particular worry is that certain players appear to have no heart for the fight and that this itself is creating friction between this group and those (who, to copyright Dave Hickson) would die for Everton.thats a very vague little story MrB
The two times we stopped up on the last day of the season :
1993/94 - After 22 games we had 7 wins
1997/98 - After 22 game we had 6 wins
This season : 5 wins from 22 league games this season.
It really does emphasis how appalling we've been, and with a squad that is far more talented. It's a good job there are 5/6 really poor teams.
Just to add to the graphics that have already been released in the wake of the poll, here's a chart that tracks the way in which the Yes view develops over a 48 hour period
You still banging the same drum.

From this we can see clearly that the initial 12 hour fume gives way to an extended period of rational reflection when, perhaps, the cooler heads of the forum - having mulled over their decision - come to a more judicious conclusion, and where (again perhaps) others who had voted Yes earlier on change their decision to a No vote.
