We aren't getting relegated. don't be stupid.

Really? We're on the worst run ofform of anyone in the league. We have the worst home defensive record and lowest number of clean sheets. The goals have dried up, and all of this with virtually a fully fit first 11 (Pienaar and McCarthy aside). The only reason we've drawn the last two games aftwr losing four is because they were at home and John Stones has returned to make the defense go from horrendous to average.

If Stones gets injured at any point in the run in we are back to having the league's worst defense.

We are in serious danger of relegation when you consider the 6 sides we have taken just 2 points from. Only City there is a big team! At some point we'll hit another massive losing run as we have Liverpool, then Arsenal and Chelsea both away. Thats at best 2 points in a good season but almost certainly 0 in this one.

There is no creativity in the side, there is player conflict, fan resentment, and it looks like no transfers coming in.

People need to wake up and see the danger. We have played some of the worst sides in the division, and got convincingly best by them or held to a home draw. If we go down to Palace (like we did in the home game -isnt that slip up looking stupid now) that will be another poor side beating a team 'too good to go down'. If we lose to Palace for me Martinez has to go.

Look across the GOT boards. There is not an ounce of positivity to be found. The derby thread makes terrible reading. 1 win in THIRTEEN MATCHES. The odd blip, such as the City game, gave us false hope that things were turning around. We face more very tough games in forthcoming weeks.

If you don't think we will get relegated, then great. But to flatly claim we will not get relegated is to bury your head in the sand. I want to think things can be recovered, I really do, and I also want to think there are 3 worse sides than us. The problem is, sides below us are getting wins, occasionally. We cannot buy a win right now.

I am deeply worried about our situation.

I agree with your post and the reality of it but we can't sack him after Palace with a derby the following week? I know it's happened before with Joe Royle coming in but I wouldn't like to go into that game manager-less or with a caretaker in charge

I think you're confusing a bad season with a relegation season.

We were here four times with Moyes - barely a murmur of unrest. People need to get a grip, accept the season is a write off and understand that we have a massive rebuilding job in the summer moving away from the Moyes player era.

He's made a pretty convincing arguement here.

I dunno, what's worse for the club, to sack him before the derby, or to sack him as a result of a defeat in the derby?

Lose to Palace, then win the derby and we'll be in yet another 'great result, lets kick on now' situation. Then we'll go and lose the next game!

Don't make me agree with you by talking sense.

The difference between then and now is that the players Moyes had had something intrinsic, called 'character'. This bunch of spineless, clueless wimps have as much backbone as an amoeba.

He's not getting sacked. There's no appetite for it.

Stop wasting your time. Look at the pie chart on page 54 of this thread.

The players in Moyes' second season were in open mutiny. Moyes had to beg them to give him another chance.
