Most if not all have no idea.

That's what I thought and that's what makes this poll so ridiculous. Until I hear a better, realistic solution I'm sticking by Martinez.

Saying to someone you come up with a better option than Martinez is like saying to someone who criticise's the players "but they're better than you so stop moaning"

Its not our job to run a football club just like its not our job to play football.

don't want that gobshite anywhere near are club
He averaged 1.91 points per game at Tottenham, immediately, having taken over a squad built by someone else. He is the most successful caretaker manager in the history of football. So what if he is a gobshite? At least it would be a different tune for a bit.

I dunno how to do these polls- can someone do one entitled, "Things are bad enough to recruit Tim Sherwood- Yes or No."

I'm not asking you to appoint someone, it was just a question.

People are so quick to call for his head and that's fair enough - everyone is entitled to their opinion - but who do you suggest could do a better job? That's all I was asking.

To do a better job right now wouldnt be hard and with this squad and if we continue to have the budget of last summer then there will be some very qualified applicants.

Like who though? Any names?

I'm not shouting you down here at all, I'm just curious as to who you think would do a better job?

Jurgen Klopp is the obvious one for me but he would never in a million years manage Everton.

I liked Martinez and I liked his vision, but I'm an Everton fan first and our form puts us at the bottom of the league. Right now a new manager could not do worse; that's how bad it is.

If we continue as it is, it isnt going to be a relegation battle, we will finish comfortably in the relegation zone because we are right now, the worst team in the league.

So yes. Unfortunately I think he has to be sacked.

I could say this in any thread but the way I see it all threads seem to be about the same subject so should Martinez be sacked? No. However, we've been learning and developing an attacking style of play for over 18 months and we couldn't break down a defensive side yesterday. We should be more than capable of creating clear cut chances against a defensive side of WBA and put them away, it is what Martinez is renowned for yet he can't break teams like this down. A team that has a new manager should not be able to play so well defensively straight away. Any attacking side would've broke them down, why couldn't we?

I wouldnt have him back but the easiest answer in the world is David Moyes.

Then you've got someone like Paul Clement who is ready for a managers job now.

TO be honest you could grab 3 managers out of the County Comb and id doubt they do worse then our worst points total at this stage since 1951

Keep him on till May if you are prepared to take on the financial obligations of losing PL cash and the players at a cut price.

Hey @davek recount the times you saw a Moyes side go belly up so easy so often.

(I don't expect an answer, it's ok mate)

Pick any big game or away match at any of the Sky 4 over 11 seasons. There's enough to fill yer boots. But Moyes got time, funny how some on here aren't prepared to give Martinez anywhere near as much. I wonder how many are those who were (or secretly still are) Moyes apologists.

Can I just ask something out of curiosity... Those of you that voted for Martinez to be sacked, who do you want to take over?

We're in a bad moment at the minute but for the long-term is there a better manager out there right now?

Duncan Ferguson would be great if come March we're in the same position but that's a short term solution.

-it hasn't been a 'minute' has it really mate ? Almost a year.

Yeah, we displaced one of those sky 4 under Moyes, and he did it with a far inferior squad than what we currently have, and somehow he had that inferior squad playing better than we have been for months.
