Have to admit i'm surprised. Rate our support up there with the best anyway but this is a great effort even by our standards.

And clubs like West Ham try and take the piss out of us lol

Exactly. They brought 500 fans to Goodison for the first game.

We're taking 6 times that for the replay exactly one week later & at a time when we've not been playing very well.

I was at the match, but when I got home & watched a recording of the game on BT, they said West Ham had brought 500 fans. They only had the corner of lower Bullens and had no fans in the upper tier.
Im blind as a bat and sit in the upper St end. But it looked like they filled the paddock and most of the lower bullens to me.

Maybe you're right but we'll still be taking WAY more fans to West Ham than they brought to us.
Agreed mate but I'm not going to slag any fanbase for not filling a full allocation on a Tuesday night TV game straight after a busy festive period. We do also have the bonus of having a large southern fan base to help us out as well. I doubt there are many hammers in liverpool

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to slag them, as much as I was putting over how great our travelling support is. Can't escape the comparison with their support, especially when ours is much maligned by national & local press.

The vast majority of EFC fans going there won't be Southern Blues. As someone who goes most of the aways myself, I know we'll be taking tons of coaches down there from Liverpool.

The usual suspects will be going from liverpool as usual but the southern support does and will bolster our following in London when needed with massive numbers . You've only got to look at the interest in this game from southern based blues on the spare ticket thread.

If so many of our London away support is London-based then why on earth has the club in the past often asked for fewer than 2000 tickets at Spurs, QPR and Chelsea? Even if 500 of the 3000 we've sold is London-based that still means a fantastic 2,500 from elsewhere -- and many more unable to get tickets. Only Utd and the RS would top that.
