Did you not read 'From those 40, 38 was made within 24 hours of the bad result.'

The same will happen here.

The point is, clearly, the majority of the 'Sack' votes are a result of anger/knee jerk.

It's tedious and embarrassing how these threads seem to pop up immediately after every bad result. The title even cites 'Post-Stoke poll', almost as if for clarity.

Cringing. We lose to Newcastle and wait for "Post Newcastle, Should we sack Martinez...'
Many more losses though and it does become realistic. That's football.

Sign of the times sadly.

Just start banning people who make the threads.

Out there AGAIN today i saw lazy players who refused to pass, when they did pass they couldn't pass five yards, players refused to move into space meaning we had no movement and no attack. Players were second to every ball, players were lazy in picking up stoke players, players looked like they couldn't be bothered throughout.

If you think Martinez can control that on the sideline then you play too much fifa, there's only so much he can do, golden boy Barkley was a disgrace today!

Stoke players would've run through brick walls to get to that ball, our players at times wouldn't move five yards.

Blame Martinez for the slow build up etc, but those players didn't give a damn today and haven't for a long time (except the usual good guys like naismith)

At least this forum allows such threads to stay alive, let people vent I say.

Exactly. Thats what it is, fans venting after a bad defeat. They're just letting their emotions out which is normal for football fans.

Moaning about kneejerking all the time just makes you look like you're trying to be morally superior.

"Oh look at those peasants, kneejerking again. My team just lost again but i'm not bothered, i'm perfectly level headed. BAWK. Kneejerk."

Love how people are comparing Wigan going down to us possibly going down.

That Wigan side was terrible. Does anyone seriously think we will go down this season, I mean seriously ?

I voted Yes. Football is about having hope and being entertained. They are providing neither.
I just do not see what the aim is currently. I get that vibe off the players too. They look unsure of themselves.
This is not a side containing Mitch Ward, Tyler, Oster and Madar, this contains Baines, Barkley, Coleman, Lukaku amongst others who would walk into the majority of premiership teams. The standard served up has been pathetic.

12 months to the day.
The rot set in with the sunderland game last year. We were in a great position then to get in the top four.
We bottled it. Lost all momentum. Sure we hung around and had other chances but it was never going to happen.

If by "had other chances" you mean we went on a 7 match unbeaten run in which we absolutely spanked Arsenal and Newcastle then yes.

I agree, but why do they not care? Something is very wrong behind the scenes, whether Martinez or his coaches.

Our form in the Europa League has been excellent. But in the league we go AWOL. But would you rather we go out in the next round of Europe and move back into the Euro contention positions? See the paradox?
