Naismith 3 year extention

This.

He had a couple of years on his contract. No need to go mad and give him a deal that'd take him up to his mid-30s. Ridiculous move. We should only be tying down saleable 'assets' on 5 year deals not someone who'd fetch a couple of million quid.

Mind you it doesn't surprise me one bit when you see another one of this ilk, Osman, secured on a long term deal.

How longs your contract with GOT, Dave? Is it negotiable?;)

Haha unbelievable! I think he'd fetch more than a couple of million quid somehow! The standard going rate for a player that can score goals in the PL is around 5 to 10 million, Naisy would fetch nearer £10 million in today's market! Look at fees paid for the likes of Steve fletcher, Shane long, Jelavic etc! Naisy is in that bracket easily

He's well out of that bracket.

Jesus Christ. :coffee:

I'm not a big fan of giving more than a year to over 30s year olds and this means Naismith will be contracted up to 33. I hope giving these long contracts to older players doesn't backfire and we end up with a lot of aging un-motivated players.

Can't see Naismith ever being unmotivated mate, he seems ( mentally ) to be cut from the same cloth as Cahill and will always give his all.
Point taken in general though.

He's not gonna be going anywhere anyway! He's a loyal lad, although rangers fans would disagree with that haha! How dare he leave a club that had gone into liquidation and re-invented itself in the fourth tier of Scottish football

Still laughin' at the sh1t he got when we signed him then, the dogs buse he got after a few games.
Now, our best player practically.
We are a fickle bunch

He's world class and as I stated. He'll get us our next trophy.

Vault me all over the shop. I hope you all do.

Just make sure you paid attention when I said he'll get us our next trophy.

He's a harrier.

Plus he knows how to slot.

Him with Barkley running from behind him and getting more through balls and crosses into the box.

Naismith is a player that creates space both for himself and others. There's a reason why we've missed him so much. Movement.

We've already gone over how he seems to find the opposition with his passing.
