Why so Negative?

Why are so many people so negative about the team? It is like some are not happy unless they are moaning. I enjoyed the game last night, great seeing us have a good lead in a game. League form has dipped, but many teams are struggling this season. We are still in the chase for a Euro place, few good results and we are competing again. We are doing fine in Europe, nice draw for the next round so a good chance of going through. Home draw in FA cup. Come on be happy and cheer the lads on.

And Merry Christmas to all Blues.

I watched on tv last night but i thought the team and the stadium was incredibly flat. QPR were by far the better side for me till the first goal and actually looked the better footballing side. We seemed incapable of being able to pass around their pressing. There was no tempo and movement to our play. I wonder if it's a confidence thing?

We don't seem to be getting Lukaku into the game in the right areas facing goal too much either.

the negativity surrounding Mcgeady was sickening. I think back to the negativity that surrounded Naismith last year compared to now. Fickle? Too right
Wasn't the Naismith negativity exacerbated due to him being played in the wrong position and asked to do the wrong job? Seems like McGeady is playing his normal position, just not very good. The one cross aside for the third goal, he was really rather poor.

So much this. The guy needs balls to run onto. We NEVER give him this supply.

Was he?

Not far off a goal, set up the third, did a good job giving Coleman a hand (look where their goal came from when he went off).

It's just lazy cliched nonsense almost totally divorced from reality to single McGeady out for criticism from a team performance like that.

He was rubbish. Even that goal chance, state of his ball control, he was all over the shop. I already gave him credit for the third so you chalk that off your list. And to suggest the goal came cos he wasn't there, well that's just daft talk.

I cannot stand the boo-boys who give Osman such stick, and refuse to stoop to that level. I am not singling McGeady out for specific abuse, I genuinely feel he was very much the weakest part of the team last night.

He's very guilty of over doing it when simple is what's required. He has to do so many tricks before he can put a ball in. Which is annoying because his delivery can be quite good.

FFS, I'm assuming you're kidding there? He left that poor **** standing with a nice bit of skill. If you cant even concede that there is no debate here.

No way could we be expected to keep up the level of last season. We have not been good, but we still have so much to play for.

Be happy.

Kick those heels and dance.

Naismith was being played out of position. McGeady is not.

Having said that, just because McGeady is not as good a winger as Naismith is a striker is no reason to pile on him. He's playing a starter's role as best he can and will always suffer from the comparison with Mirallas.

We must be referring to different incidents then, cos there was one where he was lucky to still have a chance to get a shot away after he did has best baby elephant impression trying to get the ball under control.

Three misplaced passes last night: that's less than any other midfielder or attacker we had out on the pitch. Who needs fact when we have our perceptions though?

Overdoing is what Mirallas did...in his own final third, btw. I dont remember that being mentioned anywhere like.

As I say, there's some absolute tosh written about this lad McGeady.
