Lukaku was terrible tonight, utter pants.
Besic and Barkley, different class.

Was he offside tonight?
He's told where to play. Disciplined.
He scored in his last 4 at Goodison. One game and the knives are out. Embarrassing.

He'll score between 14-20 yet again this season.
There is an element of people just looking to have a moan at the moment.
They were doing it before during and after the game.
Baffled
Stay on topic.
they won't even when he rolls 2 defenders and slots with his eyes closed because he doesn't do flick ons or stepovers or something else i can't be arsed to listen to.You will all be bigging Rom up when he scores next.
Not really Friend, he was terrible, theres nothing wrong with having a moan when somebody is rubbish IMO.
Think people are being harsh on Lukaku. Tonight was all just Barkley and Mirallas, Rom never really got a look in. People need to realise that unless he gets service then he's not going to score.
Del wanting us not to sign a world class striker though. Shocking. He's gonna have bad games, at least he will score in those bad games. Very quiet tonight granted.
People aren't talking about the lack of goals (there isn't a lack of goals); that isn't the criticism. The criticism is his role in the system.
To get chances in the role he's asked to play, he has to be creating them by being the focal point of the initial attack. It's a role he cannot do it seems.
Lukaku's goals come from individual bits of magic because he's naturally gifted at slotting, but when he doesn't slot he's utterly pointless otherwise.
It isn't like the old fashioned poacher/goal hangers though, as they've gone from the modern game. Lukaku isn't that - he's meant to be a cog in the build up play, but he's a liability who manages to get a goal every game or so.
I can see why people can't understand the criticism, as they'll look at his goal tally and think, "well, that ain't bad!" - but it's deeper than that. You know those games we've looked ineffectual, slow and sluggish going forward? It's largely because everything breaks down around Lukaku in the first instance, and the slow passing around defence is because he isn't taking up the right positions to get the play flowing quicker.
