Can't win headers? Behave.
He won't flick them on no, again, he's not that player but deliver an attacking Ball like his header vs West Ham where he knocked himsel out or a corner like the header he scored past Liverpool and he'll bury them.
Rom will get better, leave him be.
And thats why i dont understand some fans desire to see the hoof ball. Just look at today, it doesnt work for us.Rom had his quietest game in an Everton shirt but it's embarrassing how quick the daggers are out.
People just don't understand the striker he is. He's not a Marcus Bent or a Andy Johnson...
We created nothing today until we were 2-0. One moment of brilliance (as well as deflection...) from Barkley. A big dose of fortune in Mirallas FK with a hefty deflection.
And still not a bad return so far for Lukaku - same amount of goals scored as last season. More than Rooney, Hazard and a few more big names.
Support the lad FFS and enjoy him while he's here - he won't be for long.
That's not his game though... He's not that player. You don't want Lukaku with his back to goal - that's why he's much better with Barkley in the number 10.
Oh and Howard should of done better for the goal
His hands are like a 90 year olds cock
Nobody is asking him to be a brutally effective target man, or even be Heskey in holding it up - all I'm asking for is that he does the basics of the role, which anyone with his physical assets should be able to do.
We all know he's the better 'off the shoulder' striker and is exceptional at that, but the manager isn't operating with him in that role and hasn't for a year now.
So after a full 12 months of being asked to do the basics of a very set role, he's made no progress whatsoever and arguably has got worse. That's why he deserves the criticism - or, at the very least, Martinez does for sticking with a player who is sub-par in the system he uses.
As Del says (although he's constantly trolling so sort of just ignore him!), why buy him if you aren't going to use him to his strengths for that amount of money?
Two instances you think of, Anymore?
You can play Besic and McCarthy together and they will be phenomenal, but then Bobby plays Barkley further forward where there is little space and he gets crowded out all the time.
To get the best from Barkley, he needs to see more of the ball as he did tonight, so that means a deeper role.
It's Bobby's problem, but for me, he needs to find a way to get Barkley, Besic and McCarthy on the pitch in midfield at the same time.
And thats why i dont understand some fans desire to see the hoof ball. Just look at today, it doesnt work for us.
Hes best playing off the defender or dropping back or wide to turn with the ball and run, not as a hold up player
Man City another one.
Of course he can head the ball...
Again and again. He just won't, and shouldn't do it in a aimless flick on style. Give him a delivery and he'll score.
