Another 'brilliant' piece of business from Kitbag. Going to be a lot of disappointed Blues this Christmas.

IMPORTANT REPLICA KIT UPDATE

Everton regret to inform supporters that due to high demand certain items of 2014/15 replica kit are close to selling out.

This season's home, away and third kits have all proven hugely popular with supporters, with total sales approximately 65 per cent up on those in 2013/14.

As a result, and with Christmas fast approaching, stocks of some sizes are now becoming increasingly limited.

Among the items on that list are home and third shorts and socks in all boys' sizes, plus away socks in all boys' sizes.

Home shirts in medium boys and third shirts in extra large boys are also in short supply.

A full list of limited stock items can be seen below:

Home shirts – men’s: 2XL & 3XL, women’s: 8 & 10, boys: medium

Home shorts – boys: all sizes
Home socks – boys: all sizes

Away shirts – infants: 6-7yrs, babies: 3-6mnths
Away shorts – men’s: S, boys: S, M & XL
Away socks – boys: all sizes

3rd kit shirts – men’s: 3XL, boys: XL
3rd kit shorts – men’s: S, L & XL, boys: all sizes
3rd kit socks – men’s: M, boys: all sizes

Everton and retail partner Kitbag would like to apologise to any supporter who may encounter disappointment when looking to purchase certain items.

Further stocks of 2014/15 home kit will be available in the new year, though fans are advised these will not be in store or online until February 2015.

The words p**s up and brewery come to mind... along with short sighted cheapskates, ( both the Club and Kitbag )

They ordered Kits based on last years sales figures. How could they know sales would go up 65%? Would people rather they wasted money stockpiling thousands upon thousand of kits hoping they sold out when usually we are left with a massive surplus of kits that never get sold and we loose money on them
The signs were there very early on in the season that demand was high. How come production was not increased in time for Xmas? In any event, if stock was not all sold there is no loss to Everton.

So the kit that the club made you only buy from a website or themselves is not correctly stocked at the one of only 2 times a year where the demand will be high.

Im sorry but there are some terrible people running these departments in the club. that should be a sackable offence for whoever is at fault here, the amount of money the club are going to lose out on is ridiculous and there wont be any more until february?! So three months before the new kit is announced?

Why can't we have one year go by where things make sense at the club and its not got areas run like a joke in comparison to anyone else?

And; with a nod to the 'Living Wage Thread' I'm sure those responsible won't be fretting about the living wage Re. their pay cheque!!

"Everton regret to inform supporters that due to high demand certain items of 2014/15 replica kit are close to selling out..."

If people read this properly, it does not say that Kitbag or anybody else has under produced, failed to deliver, forgotten to order - it says due to high demand... doesn't that suggest that even the best projected sales figures have been shattered ?

Anybody who seriously thinks that the club or Kitbag have failed to look at previous sales history and factored in increased crowd numbers entering the shops just on match days alone when ordering stocks for December needs to calm down.

"So, are the club & Kitbag the only ones that didn't see this coming? Seriously? Crap badge, half arsed kit, they'd know orders were down and should have expected that all the people that didn't buy a kit last season would be itching to buy this seasons!"

Last season's kits all sold in record numbers, so that argument doesn't really hold water.

Sales are approx. 65% up on last season primarily because of the season we had and massively re-invigorated fans who may be even keener to buy replica kits/merchandise on the wave of enthusiasm.
I accept all this but would respond that companies worth their salt would have responded accordingly to the clear, and very early, signs of higher than expected demand. To be trying to supply and sell the kit as late as February is another absolute joke.

To make the simple point, have any of the other 19 premier league clubs at the very least put themselves in this position? No?

At least the likes sports direct and shops like that will have excess stock in, what they can't stock it?

When your football club who have made themselves the only stockists of the bloody official kit cant even get it right then you have to ask questions.

Not to mention the constant offers, and other partner freebies they've ran to shift it.

The constant comparison to last years sales (Crest boycott across all merch) to play the 'unprecedented demand' card continues to be in bad taste.

Sales are up 65% because last years badge was woeful and the kit wasnt all that. Compared to this season where the badge is boss, the kit bosser and the team just had its best season in history, why WOULDNT they expect to have a much higher demand for them?

Fair enough. I'll happily stand corrected if you wouldn't mind providing a link to the figures supporting your assertion. It'd probably support your argument if you also had the pre Nike figures too...

It's a shame that the club is happy to outsource everything except the search for a new owner.

Elstone should have walked years ago for the Kitbag and Chang deals.

The sooner Kitbag are replaced the better. This club needs marketing properly from top to bottom covering all areas!

This would have nothing to do with sales. It would be down to poor buying. Sales would be absolutely cursing the procurement team in an instance like this.
That might be the case in many sectors but in this case there's only one supplier so sales and buying become pretty much one integrated function.
