One of the comments about Everton this season has been that we have 'stopped trusting' passing to a player who is marked, taking a safer option each time. Result being a less adventurous style of football. Last season, played without fear, playing the one-twos into feet, playing quicker triangles. Is it that simple? Ball into feet and moving to get it back first time.
 

Second goal with the pressure we had there would've sealed it. Hopefully we dont take the foot off the gas in the second half.

Good CF play from Lukaku. Best I've seen him as far as getting on the end of long balls, flick ons, hold up play etc.

Think there is something to that - especially when counter attacking - we break up our own momentum because we're so scared of losing possession.

Playing devil's advocate, is that not a better option? We're terrifying without possession at times, aren't we?
