It's hard to live and function in a capitalist society and not be a part of capitalism in some way or form. Inevitably that leaves anyone living in a capitalist society being critical of it open to accusations of hypocrisy. I think the questions Brand asks are worthy of consideration his calls for Revolution are some what naive.

Not impossible though. I met this bloke around a decade ago, and he still seems to be doing his thing quite happily.

Calling for a revolution against capitalism from his seat in the directors box at WHU is pretty hypocritical....

Him and Joey Barton should get together and fix Broken Britain.

That's kind of what I don't like about Brand. The video is kind of tabloid sensationalism. He bemoans America as though this incident is an example of them not bothering about sharing with one another. The following are all examples of efforts to do just that. All are born out of America (ok, the last one is French, but that's close to America).

Would he ever promote things that are actually doing good things though? Would he buggery. Much easier to complain and rant on YouTube.

While I agree with you on the last part (and even though I doubt he'd never promote them, like), I also agree with him that the point of the video and commentary was to point out the kind of stuff that goes down in America daily (not specifically this, but shootings of innocent teenagers, people jailed for nothing, etc) and the way the media portrays it. Granted in this case the media was also as confused as him/anyone for the most part, but in general - that's the point of it, a commentary on the news, mainly in America, and the news in America never really shows the good side of anything, especially regarding minorities and the likes.

My take on his youtube channel anyway.

Brand just says what he thinks people want him to say, he wants companies like Amazon to pay taxes, hardly the thoughts of a genius, although in his defence I hadn't seen the story about the old man.

Oh for sure, but commenting on what is already a sensationalist medium is hardly the stuff of revolution. Not for me anyway.
