Do you dislike Peter Reid or Dave Watson as well?
They could play though and put a lot of "seen work" in

He's not declining with age he just hasn't got any better since he first donned the blue shirt. Very average. So can Osman, he may not be the at his peak but all players decline as they age.

....England international.
not saying much though
....perhaps not, but plenty of decent manager's have picked him to play in lots of top flight games. There is clearly a difference of opinion on here and folk wont change their view but I'm very much in the Osman camp.
and most England internationals nowadays are very average.....England international.

Its just my opinion that he is an average player and this has been strengthened by the fact that he has frustrated everyone on a regular basis.
He is unbelievably inconstant and that has been his downfall. Think we all agree that on his day he is very good and clever and his feet are like magic but its like a 1 in 10 ratio. He is frustrating because we know he has the attributes to be a very good player but he continues to let himself and us down. He can be very dangerous to his own team because of his weakness, slowness and I feel he shows this with more consistency than he shows with good days. In other words on his day he is a standout player and on an off day he is virtually invisible or a hindrance. Its the best way I can describe him. I have no objection with 20min cameos at the end of games being hopeful that he is going to have a good day.
A blatant lie right there, or just a man who is that clueless, in no way did Osman fight as hard as Cahill, Cahill imposed himself on the likes of vidic and boupa diop, just by sheer force of will, ossie is scared to put a tackle in. Also, if he praises cahill throughout the book, maybe put that in the paper instead of the one designed to gain publicity, then complain about it afterO'Keeffe:
Leon Osman’s fascinating book deserves to be read
Leon Osman received some concerted stick this week after excerpts from his new autobiography, printed in the ECHO, were misinterpreted as a scathing attack at Tim Cahill.
Osman actually speaks glowingly of the Aussie in other parts of the book but this passage, in which he makes a reasonable point about how the entire team teased Cahill over his top billing on the Goodison pitch when David Moyes was supposed to be bidding farewell, irked the keyboard warriors no end.
Cahill seemed peeved too, and decided to not-so-subtly express it by favouriting tweets criticising Osman.
While it’s clear Cahill is a fans’ favourite who scored some crucial goals and fought tirelessly for the Blues, it seems grossly unfair that Osman, who has spent his whole career at the club and fought just as hard, was so pilloried.
His book is an absorbing read, full of anecdotes and searingly honest insight into what it was like to play for Everton over the last decade. It’s also often hilarious. Those who took umbrage to the passage about Cahill are entitled to their opinion of course but could at least read it before judging a man who is Blue through and through.
Utter tripe. And no mention of the criticism Osman handed out regarding the treatment of Moyes. Well done, Greg. Another stellar contribution to the world of journalism.
stop piling on the insults, osman has enough to deal with....England international.
