...yep, there's a lot of affection for him but I agree he was hopeless. Looks like he'll be ploughing his trade in the UAE.

He wasn't as bad as people like to make out. He made made a genuine impact when he came into the side. Rom could learn a lot from him, seriously.

Let's be honest , half the crowd could do what he did, He was garbage full stop.

Was he a good footballer in the technical sense of having silky skills? Not really. To be honest he reminded me of Bernie Wright!!
Was he a very hard working one who made opponents make mistakes? Absolutely and that was at times enough to make a short term impact. Everyone loves a trier and he maximised his impact by pure effort. Football allows all sorts to make an impact even if they are not blessed with technique like Bergkamp. Pat on the back and gratitude for his efforts from me.

Is right. if Big Vic had Straq's go about him he would be better than Rom is now... so would Rom for that matter.

Which is all well and good but he couldn't put the ball between the metal white things with the net attached to them and our current hero has an uncanny knack of doing this regularly.
