In the Grand Old Tradition, I'm considering a leaving thread (which may be this thread), but it's kind of dependent on yous.


Not normally so seemingly narcissistic, but I sometimes get negative reaction round here which is centred on an unforgivingly-cynical impression of my personality rather than any content of my posts. I have a slight obsessive compulsion to micro-analyse such reactions which must be hella boring to read.


So a poll it is then, I will abide by the majority view :cheers:

I don't get this. If you want to stay, stay. If you don't want to stay, don't stay. Posting an attention seeking thread because you feel random strangers on the interwebs don't like you nor agree with your comments is just silly as all you will get is people saying koff, either because they don't like you or as a wind up. If someone disagrees with my opinion or me, that isn't on me, that's on them, and as such I will continue to post utter guff because at the end of the day the opinion of a random stranger on the internet doesn't affect me. xxx

Normally agree with your post, Kiwi...but it's slightly-different in this case, I feel. Don't want to attention-seek, but for the last year or so I openly (and often) get accused of getting popular members banned, of being a secret kopite, and of generally just being a constant WUM, so it goes further than a mere disagreement of opinions. The accusers often openly state the majority hold this view (happened again just an hour ago or so), so as untrue as all these accusations are, if the majority really do think that, then I'm happy to stop posting altogether.

Hope that might've cleared it up a bit, mate. I'll take a koff in the face too xx
 
TL;DR

Nevertheless...stay. Not arsed in reading all that. Just be yourself mate...it's a place for fun. If fun for you is being a WUM, then jog on. Nobody likes a WUM...unless it's the clear cut jokers like @Walken. He posts the most over the top rubbish that unless you seriously don't have a clue, you know he's just trolling for idiots who think he's being serious. He eats them for breakfast...and it's high quality entertainment.

Ever thought they might keep doing it and winding you up because they get these lovely big reactions? You don't react, it stops being funny and it all simmers down, or if they don't stop then they look bitter and stupid.;)

Seriously mate.... Why care about what the heck people think of you on here?... In fact you starting threads like this is probably exactly the reaction they are looking for... Just ignore it. Believe it or not, they are not being serious and isn't a personal attack on your character... I mean how could they, they have never met you and don't know who you are..... It wasn't so long ago I was known as a dog molester....
