1/2 of Llay gets their Xmas Dinner from 'The Kebab Van,' well they do since that filthy Chippy* was shut down.

*Got my dinner from that place every day as well ffs.

Do you know loads in Llay then ? I worked at Trefn opposite The Crown, in the Machine Shop, only 1 I liked was a lad called Ajax a Chelsea fan.
havn't really been back for years except for funerals. when i last lived there there wasn't an ind estate. i think trefn was one of the first to set up.

Probably, it's 1st place on the estate, fair play to all the Miners like cos we had a pit disaster here (mates Dad & Uncle died) and a lot came over for all of the funerals.

It isnt a village, but Aberystwyth is by far the oddest place in the country. If there is ever an alien invasion, or zombie apocalypse, it will happen there.

Couple of my mates live in Pontypridd, I usually stay with them for a few days when we have Swansea or Cardiff away. Last time I went, we drove around for nearly an hour trying to find a chippy that was still open at 10pm...ended up with a Chinese. Truly the arse end of civilisation!
I did my first degree at the Uni there. If you stayed there too long it was genuinely difficult to re-adjust to normal life elsewhere.

Playing rugby in places like Ystrad Mynach, Troedyrhiw and Llwynypia was very, very strange. Like something out of Lord of the Rings. Merthyr Tydfil however, is the one place I am glad I will never, ever go to again. Words cannot adequately express what a desperate place Merthyr is.

It's strange in that throughout winter it must have an average age of about 24, during the summer it probably has an average age of 60. Just like the weather, there's no in-between.

Mods, are any of you going to act onthe blatant racism in this thread.... Or is ok because the welsh are not fast black midgets ??
