Ripping strips off them isn't going to help anyway.

What needs to be done is analysing the mistakes - both individual and team wise, and letting them know exactly what is and isn't expected in certain situations.

We're defending like a pub side at the minute and we need to sort it asap.

Davek, in-house bollockings do not make supporters feel any better, we as supporters pay a small percentage of their salaries and we probably all understand that in-house bollockings go on but when it is week in week out mistakes, basic and the type you would not expect from professional athletes that are highly paid it all gets a bit too much....

Probably go and beat the darkside next week and everything will be okay, and i will be the first to say I knew etc etc.

Apathy grows apathy that's why it is what it is. The only way to sort out defensive errors besides not making them is to try players that play together, if that means dropping the team captain so be it, it happened enough times with Pip.

We're 5 games in mate not 15 like I say if its after 15 worry. And the derby being our nxt game gives us a chance to stand up and be counted and its a game Everton simply have to be up for against Liverpool.

Aye. As much as I'd love them to get a public bollocking, the manager just needs to be sitting down with the senior players and getting them to refocus mentally. That as much as anywhere is where these stupid mistakes that have cost us are coming from.

Apparently he's not mr nice guy when it's called for.

He made a huge balls up not getting a RB cover in and a CB worth their salt in the summer. If he doesn't solve this by January he'll have to sort those areas out then. I have huge doubts over Martinez in the transfer market tbh, but I have complete faith in him as a coach.

I agree with you about his transfer market nouse.
As a coach do you think he would be better suited to la liga where its played at a different tempo.
He does come across too nice and dare I say it not strong enough but like you say maybe he is different away from the media.

You'd think the captain would take it by the scruff of the neck and lead by example, but he's fast becoming a liability. As quiet as a mouse, avoids confrontation (remember just two weeks ago when Costa was goading Coleman on the floor and it took Howard to steam out and tell him to STFU?), can't pass, can't head, is slow, is good for gifting the opposition at least one clear cut chance a game.

Give the armband to Ross when he's back ffs and tel him to sort them out.

Was only meant half serious, but in all honestly I'd rather he had it than Jagielka right now. I'd sooner give it to Barry, then McCarthy, and Ross in a few years. Baines can't have it as he's far too quiet. Perhaps Coleman would be a good candidate? He's a feisty Irishman who is incidentally our best player.

No he's not. He's been in the role for a year and hasn't performend as a captain should.

He has been woeful in every single game this season and deserved all the criticism he is getting. It's just a shame the manager has blind faith in his ability, despite us shipping more goals than everybody else in the division.
