I've always had hedgehogs coming into my garden. We back onto some woods so they nest in there and come into our garden of a night to eat the biscuits our cat leaves. We've also bought some mealworm just for hedgehogs that we leave out of a night. A couple of months ago we were getting a hog coming in earlier and earlier, it was limping and coming into the garden while it was still light so I took it to the hedgehog hospital. He had a badly infected leg and they had to chop it off. I asked if I could have him back so I could release him hopefully back to his nest and he came out about 6 weeks later and we released him back into our garden. Anyway about two months later, the security light goes on tonight and there was 3 hedgehogs eating the biscuits. When the smaller one walked he was leaning over to one side and when I picked him up it was because he had a leg missing. I love nature.
