Home European Group Game Attendances

some people have to prioritise which games they can go to due to work/cost/other commitments. Its not that hard to work out why the attendance will be less than the semi final of the same competition.

The website is still showing 90% of the stadium as having good-very good availability of seats left. Not looking good
Good. It will teach the club to be more professional and tuned in when making future pricing decisions. Our commercial people simply have no idea. Gate money for the game will probably be around half a million tomorrow and would probably have been around that irrespective of prices. But it surely must always be better to raise this level of revenue from more people having paid a lower ticket price than fewer numbers paying higher ticket prices, for many reasons.

Your points are valid mate, but rather than looking outwards with economy or cost issues, im more inclined to take a closer look at our fans.

To me its just too fickle to not want to watch us in the eary rounds of a competeintion deemed not important.

31,000 people have paid for season tickets. Liverpool is hardly the most affluent of areas in the country. If you've got a season ticket for yourself and your two kids you're looking at well over £600 before you've even gone to any of the games, then there's food and drink on top of that every time.

Aside from the financial issues, people also have lives to live. It's hard to stick midweek games alongside the busy lives that people tend to have nowadays, just because you do it or somebody else does doesn't mean those who aren't prepared to go and get home at 11pm before getting up early the next day to work should be slated.

And yes, more people would go to Barcelona than are going to go to Wolfsburg, but again i fail to see the issue. The reality of life is that people have to prioritise certain things.

I'm not going to Wolfsburg tomorrow, i've got a season ticket and travel an hour each way to the home games and try and do 8+ aways every year, and not always the glamorous ones either. I missed United last season but went to Swansea and Cardiff, for example. I'm not going on Thursday because i'm up at half six every day for work and being honest Wolfsburg aren't enough of a reason for me to spend £50+ all in and feel naff all day in work.

We have one of the best support groups in the country and our away following is superb, slating our own fans when the club has priced the game stupidly seems extremely harsh and overly negative to me. If they'd priced it more in line with clubs like Spurs we would have sold a lot more tickets. Simple as that.

Dearie, dearie me.
Are you an Evertonian or a blert from across the park sent here to make yourself look daft?
I'm the same blert that has a season ticket, has had one for 33 years, even kept it up whilst overseas for 20 years and am in the auto ticket scheme, what kind of blert are you, d.ick, someone who begrudges someone an opinion.

"where evertonians, we go the game....#ButOnlyifItsCheapAndADecentOpositionAndaAleIsServedAndTheWeatherIsOkLike....Its what we do"

When I grow up I want to be as good a fan as you are, I'm far too fickle now and I'm ashamed.

Actually probably of a similar age, longevity of supporting Everton as well as from being abroad working and autocup membership - are you me in disguise :-)

Sales have definitely improved in the last couple of days. Areas described as having good availability don't really have that many tickets left. Depends on sales today including walk-up's tonight but I'm expecting no more than 33,000-ish

I for one am selfishly pleased that loads of ST holders aren't bothering. Bought tickets the day they went on general sale and ended up with crappy seats at the back of LB6. So when the ST seats were released and there were tonnes of good views available I contacted the club asking for a swap which they've sorted for me no problems. Now sat row A in LB5 so should have a cracking view. Taking my mate who's never been to a top level club match before (Norwich in the Championship doesn't count) so I'm made up.

Travelling over from Lincoln later, can't wait!
