Watching the 2011 remake of "The Thing" with all the lights off...

The wife is in bed and I'm downstairs with a bottle of Riggwelter...

I didn't think anything could be as depraved and twisted as the original, but sweet Lord, they've surpassed it.

FINALLY seen The World's End...really wanted to catch it when it first came out, but just never could for one reason or another.

Thought it was really good for the most part. Like Shaun and Hot Fuzz, a second or third watching is probably in order.

It was definitely the weaker of those films...

Relatively enjoyed the first bits when they are just on the pub crawl, but then it just fails. At everything. For me at least.

I'd put Paul third on the list of their films.

Hmm...I thought Paul was complete rubbish personally. Surprised that you hated it. Personally, I felt that way after my first watch of Hot Fuzz...thought they'd missed the mark, but after watching a second and third time, it grew on me.

Same with Hot Fuzz. Like it more now than at first.

The World's End does have a cracking soundtrack I'll give it that.

if.... Do yourself a favour and seek it out, truly brilliant film.

i thought it was a great film but it did seem to die out a bit at the end,years since i have seen it though

I dont know why, but isn't Drive just like every other Loner Crim Film done?

I'd rather watch Black Rain or Vanishing Point again tbf.
