The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

The problem is the asking price plus CAPEX required (capital expenditure on stadium and squad (squad less of an issue than previously))

An investor is still looking at £400-500 million to buy the club, build a new stadium and invest in the team.

The revenues, future cash flows, and projected P&L do not support that valuation

If only we never cocked up Kings Dock and done a 10 year deal with kitbag.

We need a new direction from within the club, I'm impressed by the MK Dons chairman. We need the likes of him at Everton, Elstone is not a CEO. CFO maybe

More of a u.c. I would say !!!!

Would you buy Goodison Park? we are in the North ,People want to buy in the capital. Also no one has ever come out and said they wanted to buy but Kenwright wasn't interested. And my opinion seeing as we have no money things are very stable and have basically been on the up the last few years. Its only on the fanzines people criticise Kenwright.

Clubs with worse stadiums than GP have been bought.

Clubs in the north have been bought.

Kenwright was near to selling to someone in a one bedroomed flat in Manc and another who said he was an exec from ICI and that was due only to them agreeing to his over inflated asking price. He will sell the club lock, stock and barrel to any shark.

Things have been on the up is down to Sky and Sky only, ie deals that are out of Elstones hands. The deals Elstone does proves that he isnt up to running a club.

The three we supposedly have at the helm are getting on, what happens then when they are pushing up the weeds. They have to sell. As time goes on its more imperative that they sell.

Morning Snaps......and the other side of the story is.....;) The discredited former facilitator of football club sales(I've even forgotten his name) was the one who was taken in by the bed sit man and ICI man...it was BK who found out who they really were...and it was the same disgraced and discredited facilitator who is the only person, as far as I know, who has put a 'price' on Everton Football Club.
Were we will agree is that Bill Kenwrights problem is that in all probability Earl in particular wants an inflated return on his investment(the purchase of the Gregg shares), because Bill 'sold him the dream' of the retail bonanza at DK. Spurs being sold for anything around £800 million plus is a property deal that happens to include a football club. Ashley will only sell Newcastle if he gets his his price plus his loan back, plus interest on his loan in spades.Lerner will bail out at Villa only if he can do so at a big profit, but he has realised that he has burned his fingers big style, and no longer uses his 'mr nice guy' disguise. Hull City guy, even, is prepared to give the club away if he can't run it like has own little toy !! Sometimes people need to take a step back and look at that terribly cliched 'bigger picture'.

I have taken out all the extras as its only included to muddy the waters.

I couldnt care who introduced the two sharks, the fact is that those two got into GP to study the books with the consent of the board and Elstone.

It was only when Kenwright said "where is my money, lets see the cheque" that suspicions were raised.

As for Earl and the retail bonanza, you dont/wont get many Planet Hollywoods or Earl of Sandwich shops in Kirkby.

You're referring to Spurs and Newcastle?

Whatever people's views on Bill Kenwright, I don't fancy taking tips on the running of a football club from Daniel Levy and Mike Ashley lol

They may splash the cash, but they get everything else wrong. And perhaps, just perhaps, Kenwright is starting to spend for Roberto. I understand other folk may not agree, what with this being the fight thread, I mean the Board thread......

But mainly just the asking price because with any reasonable commercial sellers (as opposed to leeches just hanging on to see if a mega rich person takes a flyer on Everton at an inflated price as a vanity project), that asking price should at least partially reflect the CAPEX required.

Exactly. So good I quoted it twice.

So many sharks out there, and a lot of them have "bitten" into their prey already in the Premier League, you do have to be careful what you wish for,I do believe Bill is holding out for the "perfect" fit for EFC,not for a quick fix,but for the long term, the question is,does that person/persons exist?

So...the bit about the discredited facilitator being the only one to name a price...I just included that to 'muddy the waters'? Do you know that ICI Man and his Bedsit Bro actually got as far as due diligence? I've absolutely no doubt that you can come up with the evidence for that. To paraphrase Bill in the Tape That All But Destroyed The Credibility Of The Blue Union, facilitator(What WAS his name?) came up with 'one guy, and when I looked into it, he lived in a bed sit in Manchester' Similarly ICI Man. Now, its fair to raise the point that the facilitator should not have been employed by BK(is he still ?), but as for Bill being on the point of selling to a man in a bedsit...thats taking literary license a bit far, even for the ever diminishing little band of brothers known as the Usual Suspects platoon.

He will sell to someone who pays him the most.

He will sell to someone who pays him the most.

He will sell to someone who pays him the most.

So accurate I quoted it three times

They have never denied the BU's write up have they, so I cant see why you would doubt it, but you then you would.
