This should probably be in World Football now, shouldn't it?
He doesn't play for Everton.

Exactly, he's a severe downgrade, who would he replace, Barry? McCarthy? Don't make me laugh. No idea why some on here want him. We've dodged a bullet here imo.
Just not having the lad, he's no better than what we've got and wouldn't get into the sides of any of those who we're aspiring to challenge.
Think Roberto sees him as Osman's replacement and planned to play in any of the 3 roles behind the striker in a 4231.Exactly, he's a severe downgrade, who would he replace, Barry? McCarthy? Don't make me laugh. No idea why some on here want him.
Cheers mate. Moved.![]()
Interesting. I suppose he could offer depth as well but then I remember you guys have Barkley too haha He wouldn't start ahead of Barkley surely, let's face it Naismith is also better than Cleverley. If you're going to get a United player, it should probably be Anderson or Valencia or something, they're pretty good at their best.Think Roberto sees him as Osman's replacement and planned to play in any of the 3 roles behind the striker in a 4231.

Fair enough. He could be useful in that aspect yeah. I don't even know why I'm talking, he would probably challenge Arteta for a deep lying midfield spot right here at Arsenal, but that says more about Arsenal than Cleverley lolI think the point is that he wouldn't necessarily start every match in the same spot, would offer cover in multiple roles. Which is probably why we wouldn't break the bank for him right now.
As @pfim says, he probably would be a "jack of all trades, master of none". They are usually not greatly loved by supporters but they fill a vital role for a team, especially given the unpredictability of injuries.Interesting. Not signing Cleverley is like a new signing.Swerving him was great business
To be honest that was ages ago.
I'm not saying he won't get it back, but at this exact moment he is nowhere near any better than what we already have in midfield.
