Roberto Martinez discussion

No one should knee jerk after that nightmare. He is a top quality manager (with a piss poor CB unit).

I think Bobby will be the one who brings us a domestic trophy. I can see him doing it this season too.
This season? Which trophy would that be?

I also worry that he hasn't addressed our CM position, he doesn't seem to trust besic to come on and make an impact for a tiring barry/Mccarthy and seems to want to wrap gibson in cotton wool as he hasn't had any football either.

Is there any evidence that the fella can make a team a stronger outfit at the back?

Because on current performances we are going backwards at an alarming rate

Goals conceded record last season suggests the answer is yes.

These two CBs though: he's exercised poor judgment keeping them together for this season.

One season does not make a career though lid

He needs to address this problem fast before it sets in like dry rot

For those playing revisionist time about the defence all being down to Moyes last year and Martinez is regressing us to Wiganesquee levels, a simple reminder that Moyes had these days - and worse ones too

I don't remember our defence being this weak and open under Moyes

May be wrong like as I have a memory like a gold fish

I don't ever remember our defence ever being that weak and open under Moyes
