Howling here at some of these posts in the last few hours. Not too long ago we had Vellios on the bench. 2 years ago, not even, we had Straq as another option. We are 24 hours away from signing samuel eto'o as a back up striker to our marquee signing and yet still, we have people fuming. Howling here !! Ha ha ha

Not only that but we've been crying out for our board to drag in another face to play up top. Looks like we're doing that. A lad with quality european experience, a lad who knows where the net is and a massive name in football.

You're confused that some on here look at signings through the eyes of a Bayern Munich/Real Madrid/Barcalona fan? We're clearly boss, mate. We deserve 1985 quality haha.

Nailed on mate !!!

Eto'o and people are bent out of shape.

Hard to tell what sort of condition Samu currently is in as I saw little of him in the past year or so but his reputation obviously precedes him...I'm sure he doesn't have the pace he used to but excellent goalscorer that will also deliver some key assists...Ironic that he comes to Everton when it was his arrival to Chelsea that saw Lukaku shipped out

I think it's a great signing but the concerns about his wages are spot on as he's gone a bit mercenary after winning all the titles he has...Eto'O certainly is entitled to get the best deal possible...A good teammate in general although like most strikers has an ego that is peculiar, needs to play with a chip on his shoulder...Strong enough personality however that if things aren't going his way, will not back down

I think we are probably looking at someone who is going to provide good technical finishing and a confident first touch. He can't rely on pace any longer, though I am sure he will still be able to turn the burners on when needs must...they'll just take that little bit longer to recover.

As long as his instinct is slightly sharper than last year when he had a tap in but got tackled by Barry at Goodison, then I'm on board with this
