I'm not too sure it's even the players. Mourinho just likes a bit strong powerful compact team with speedy wingers that work hard and I think he's got the perfect Mourinho team with his signings.

Maybe it comes down to the manager. In a way I just know what to expect from Chelsea this season and with City I'm not sure.
Last post as this is getting off topic but my feeling is City have a good mix of power and skill in the midfield and up front that will trouble most including Chelsea. That said it really comes down to Agüero's fitness for me because if he is fit he's the best striker around and City can score bunches

He's not playing there because it would expose your backline. The problem is positioning and tackling are two of the bigger necessities for that position and he's bad at both

I'm an Everton fan :-)

But in regards to Wilshere - He needs to play there to get better in that role. It's not like Arteta or Flamini are a reincarnation of Makelele - He could play there in most games.

Yous were slow and surprisingly had no creative spark - Chamberlain, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshire, all did nothing. When you weren't misplacing passes, you passed it across the defence. Slightly higher possession and only causing Howard to make his first save mid way through the 2nd half says a lot.

It only improved with Giroud coming on as he was a target man for crosses. And Carzola, who really is the only reliable creative play you have.

If that ended 2.0, you'd see how poor you were. Getting a point covers a lot up and does more favours to you than us. And if you play like that against Chelsea etc, they won't be as careless as we were.

We started off well in the first half but lacked the final ball, you guys scored and we lost momentum which led to sloppy play. You guys scored again at the stroke of halftime which led to you guys sitting back deeper in the second half and trying to hit us on the transition. Of course our play is going to look slow when the opposition have retreated.

I reiterate, we were not as bad as has been made our nor were Everton as good.

Sorry mate. My point is playing him there would help improve him but it would be at a cost of points as they would be weaker. Reality is they need a player there that they don't have right now
Edit: Meant sorry about thinking you were a gooner

You didnt look like scoring until we started making mistakes. Where is the Arsenal mistake for Colemans goal mate, it was simply great play from Everton.

Where was Ozil? He was initially tracking Coleman's run before giving up and giving Coleman a free header which led to the goal.

Just spoke to Greg O'Keeffe and Dave Prentice. Said the club are 'incredibly displeased' with pre season and the general thought is that they don't expect the players to be fully fit until after the international break. I'm good mates with Greg so will try and get some info on transfers even though he's notoriously difficult to get hold of so will try my best.
How are they displeased? Surely it is the club who sorts out pre-season, so what aspect has displeased them?

I thought we where better in the 1st half but not by much.

In the 2nd half we managed the game well up to about 60mins and then weathered the storm that was always going to come up to 70mins however the goal didn't come and by 70mins you look beat.

At that point at any other time of the season we would have gone on to win probably by another goal however when we made the subs on the wings to give us the legs to counter we didn't have the legs to compete in midfield and defence and essentially threw away 2 points due to fatigue.

We weren't much better but we would have normally taken the points from that position.

All in all I expected you to be better and you desperately need a proper holding midfielder.

LOL

Because I agree with a non blue?

He's spot on, The lad saying teams have only scored through our mistakes can be flipped right back to us, Most goals unless there 30 yard screamers are from an error

You're an absolute beaut mate and i really, really dont like you.

I'm sure people have already said it but I'm going to say it anyway.

Coleman was too isolated in defence and we were relying on Jimmy Mc covering him. It worked first half but when Lukaku tired and became less effective it became a problem. McGeady coming on to replace him didn't really help us out so it cost us in the end.

Fair play to Giroud, he was excellent when he came on in the second half and made all the difference
