Thats all im saying you can only beat whats in front of you, build a little momentum, breed some confidence, create some chances, dictate a bit of the play, jsut somethiong, we have done nothing this pre season. so lets just see what happens saturday, becasue unless we are 100% by the 2nd weekend arsenal will batter us
I know what you're getting at.... but you originally said that Liverpool will be up there this season, no doubt about it, because they have just tonked Dortmund, Germany's 2nd best team. I'm just saying it wasn't really accurate.

Everton will be ready lad.

They'll probably burst most of the smaller teams in the league with their massively overpriced and overpaid squad. They'll struggle against the bigger boys tho, especially without a match winner like Suarez.

suarez never was a match winner against the big boys anyway. he was the one who helped them beat the smaller teams. sturridge was the main one who helped them win the bigger games last season.

No mate, i'm saying Dortmund have a German Super Cup game against their rivals in 3 days time in a competitive game and were not going 100%....... fielding a weakened team.

Youre right. Even BT Sports and their RS loving fraternity were of the opinion that Dortmund were clearly under strength and in low gear with an eye on this week's game. Liverpool had some very good moves in the last third as the score reflects, but these games are no real barometer of much apart from fitness. We have had poor pre seasons in the past and nevertheless hit the ground running when the season started. The real work is ongoing at Finch Farm no doubt. Leicester will be a difficult proposition as its their first game back in the big time but I still think we can do well.
