have to say only 2 players have proper impressed me in pre season ...besic and garbutt. pienaar barkley and browning looked ok , but the rest overall have looked like Fulham or villa standards.

have we even had double figure shots on target all pre season ?

Real Madrid haven't won a pre-season friendly.

I'd rather play like crap during friendlies and actually win when it matters.

Playing for 3 points is a big motivation factor for the players, they'll pull their thumbs out when it matters.

I don't care too much about pre-season results but what we usually see is progression in each game then we usually field our strongest team in the final game. You start to see patterns of play and much sharper players the nearer the seson gets. I think we have got worse and our play has been nothing short of awful. We have created less chances than the opposition and it seems the players are getting nose bleeds if we get within a couple of yards of the box. We are playing like a bunch of strangers and apart from Besic and Browning I have not seen much that is positive.

Thought by now we would see a pattern emerging. Think we are in for a World Cup hangover

Got a funny feeling the cult worship of martinez will take a bit of a hit this season.

Love the guy but we are massive off pace and I feel he has messed it up. And for Stuart trying to dress everything up for his paymaster Kenwright "paderborn" are not a good European side last year we were playing the likes of juventus and real Madrid and looked better than this and we were in transition then!

What cult worship ? And how is Kenwright Graham Stuart's paymaster ? Just interested, like.
