If this is true it's arrogance beyond believe, anyone would think we were a team of mid table journeymen desperate for Chelsea reserve players. It's amazing to think 10/15 years ago Chelsea were exactly this themselves - mid table no hopers who hadn't won the league since the 1960s

genuinely not seen him play ,is he any good or is there better options out there ?.sounds like another club trying to dictate to us when and where we play their players, not going to happen is it.I'm all for loaning players, but Chelsea and any other club who wants to influence our teams can do one.

i want a starter on the wing! will make sense if we're waiting until jan for perisic though.
Don't really think its a sound idea to organise your summer business around a signing you might make in January. We don't know yet where the squad will need strengthening the most, who will be fit etc.

He won't get a game for Chelsea unless it was necessary. They want instant results. And he is 22, he isn't still a teen.

At the age of 22, it is Mourinho who should be giving game time at least here he would be getting some playing time far more than staying at Chelsea. Have a feeling Atsu will never figure in Chelsea's plans.

Absolutely spot on. Exactly.

He is never going to figure in their plans. Just another example of signing a player for X amount and selling him for a profit. Young player + game time = experience and higher fee.

Hes never getting a game at that club.

Atsu deal is OFF .Wont be happening. Good source

I can understand Chelsea wanting to have their loaned players get playtime, we would want the same. The difference is where you loan players. If you loan to teams in the same league, you should realize that you can't really demand a permanent spot in a starting lineup. If you loan players to lower League teams you should demand a certain percentage of gametime.

The 1950s.

Being reported in London that Chelsea were quite happy with the loan but wanted a recall clause in the January window if Atsu hadn't been given enough playing time.

In truth on the face of it seems a sensible approach.

Could it be that Chelsea are coming up with comments for the journos to cover their backs so that they do not appear to be unreasonabl? Said in an earlier post why don't Chelsea give him more game time instead of old man Drogba?

Interesting though no comment from Everton as yet, does that mean we may still be tal;king?
