We've got our man, now what?

What has happened to Galloway from MK Dons? Are we still signing him or couldn't we reach agreement with them which was the last I heard a couple of weeks ago.

Know nothing about Atsu but i'll take him on loan for a start! Probably add Troare to that loan list as he's obviously on the radar, knows the squad etc.

Then some young superstar on loan too, just bring del back ;)

Add Henan and Galloway to the squad, perhaps 1 more promising youngster and we're set!

Let's get Traore back! Then we have four striking options:

- The powerful goal-getter, Lukaku
- The pacy forward man, Kone
- The lanky route one fella, Traore
- The ghosting-in-the-box-Albino, Naismith

Naismith won more headers than the other three combined last year. Nothing route one about Traore.

He's apparently agreed to join us, we have offered less than MK Dons want, and the kid himself is disputing the contract with MK Dons, so it will either go to tribunal, or a mutual fee will be agreed, but seems like its done and just matter of time before its resolved

Get more men. Our first eleven is no stronger than it was last season, unless you consider Besic an improvement on Deulofeu. OK, Barkley is improving (as are Lukaku, Stones and McGeady), we should get the best part of a season's service out of Oviedo plus Gibson and Kone are back. Other than that, we are still a bit short of the quality need for a credible attempt at the top four. If there is any money left, it needs to be spent on another CL-standard attacking player.

We did exceptionally well last year and we've undoubtedly taken another huge step forward with our transfer activity this summer.

European football will ultimately benefit us, although perhaps not in the short term.

It's exciting that Martinez wants to develop our young players and those on the fringes have the opportunity to compete for a first team place.

I'd imagine that Roberto will want Stones and Barkley to start establishing themselves this year. He'll be looking for Oviedo, Naismith, Kone, Gibson and McGeady to force their way into the team. And he'll want to see whether young talents such as Browning, Garbutt and Ledson are ready.

As for our transfer policy, I don't think that we'll need to make any major acquisitions in the near future. We need competition for Lukaku, Barkley and Mirallas but we can afford to take our time, explore the loans market and pick up bargains as they become available.

Our current squad has a lot of untapped potential and we don't have any glaring weaknesses, so we now have the luxury of being able to fine-tune our squad and to bolster it in smaller increments.

I don't need to watch a vid, I know how good the lad is and what he brings

The fact remains that he played 27 league games and provided zero assists, That is very very poor for someone who plays in his position

So you think Ross should play less this season then?

I agree that he needs to be adding assists to his game, but I don't think he's far away from doing that at all.

I think he needs serious competition, someone who can push him and someone who he can learn from

Zero assists in nearly 30 games is horrendous for a forward player

Stats are useless, I think it was the Arsenal game, when he ran 60 yards down the wing and crossed it into the box, somebody half touched it on and we scored, stats wouldnt call that an assist, but it was.

Well, our GK and defence is okay, as Martinez won't upgrade Robles, Hibbert or Alcaraz. Our defensive part of midfield is okay... And then, wel... I hope we can loan in Traore as a second option for Lukaku, he would be just a perfect option and I would really hope we could buy him in the next summer for an agreed price in that loan deal, if it works well. If we can loan in Atsu, he would be a perfect replacement for Deulofeu IMO, an agreed price for him would be great as well, Chelsea don't need him in the long-term, he could do well for us. But even then I would still think we need one extra attacking player.

Pienaar can be that replacement for Barkley, in our current system, he is better suited to play there than on a wing, and so I think we need a boss winger. My dream signing would be Yevhen Konoplyanka, his buy-out clause is £12m and if no better club than West Ham will go in for him, he will likely sign for them. He would be an absolute bargain IMO, and as a big bonus, fans of our neighbours would be in a total meltdown. We still should have money available for these deals, if not, then please fund it by selling of Naismith, his value has to be really high if players like Borini or McCormack are going for deals above £10m.

Zero assists for the greatest talent in the world ever

LOL

Delofeu, Traore and Astu on Loan and that will do me, Gives us the pace we need and the different type of striker.
