ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Let's take a step back here a minute...... Last season Aldo and the rest of them would have you believe that Liverpool were arguably the best team in the league, they scored goals for fun and everybody loved to watch them... They finished second in the league after a catastrophic last few games.

Fast forward to now, they are gonna lose 1 player from that side..... Ok, he's their best player by a mile but still, it's one player. They have already bought about 4 in so far this summer, now Aldo is claiming they need another 6....... So presumably the ten that Aldo reckons need replacing weren't that good after all.

Blatant commercialism from RS Towers - a third kit when there's absolutely no chance the toxic waste yellow and rhubarb one* will clash with anyone's home strip (i.e. when they can't wear the red-s.... first strip)

* notably rather canary-yellow on their posters and window displays but with added sulphuric acid on the actual kit.

It really is toe curling. A line spun for a manager with no credentials whatsoever. He wins no trophies so he has to have a feather in his cap in some other respect.

I cant think of any dramatic improvement in any of that lot. Henderson is usually trotted out as THE example. But Rodgers practically shattered his confidence by trying to sell him. Henderson then gets loads of chances to do the donkey work for GBH in midfield and all of a sudden he's 'good'.

Crack on. I'll be delighted if that's the added value Brent brings to that club.

Its like an LFC eternal echo chamber over the park...Rodgers contradicting himself unashamedly "hes a grand player but not a good fit" type cop out one minute... "hes clearly world class" the next. God knows what the players think. It seems a given Rodgers doesn't even give a toss what the cult members think and the imbeciles don't even comment about it. Imagine Evertonians reactions if it were us. I was recalling the oracle that is Mark Lawrenson saying re Henderson (in a eulogy to Dalglish's purchasing expertise) ....Henderson, an England international, will grow as a player and grow into the club so could be worth £30m in a couple of years. That was in 2011. Were a year on from that even now. If the Suarez saga falls through (candles being lit it does just for the hysteria value alone), at least Rodgers can cash in on his prize asset.
