This "becoming a better player" lark is part of the Rodgers I-Spy book of junior psychology. Its a form of damage limitation hes trying to perfect to mask faults and imperfections when they don't "go again". I can see him making a song and dance over Gerrard next season who will be knackered physically and mood wise after their awful season end and the England no show.
