i have an inkling mourinho may fancy shurrle to play up front next season as well tbh. he was very appreciative of his finishing after the fulham hat trick and he doesn't seem like a winger, could turn out to be his best position. don't think he's a striker myself, but then haven't seen a mass amount of him.

Because some posters would sooner buy 4 squad players with our budget instead of Lukaku. So that means Traffic will be number one striker, simples

Anyone saying £20+mill is too much for lukaku is barmy if you ask me. We paid £15mill for Fellaini and lukaku is so much more important to us. With the added tv money and the high wages we've offloaded in the last 3 seasons we "should" be able to buy him outright.

We should offer them a big fee up front then a few mill in bonuses and performance clauses each season. It looks like he is destined to leave Chelsea and it's a great chance for us to build a quality, young spine to our team. We can bring in decent squad players on loan if we have to, there's plenty of opportunity to do that. Signing one of the best young strikers in the world, that opportunity isn't going to come along again for a long time.

Coleman stones
Barkley McCarthy
Lukaku

That for me is the best young spine to any premier league side.

Yes. They sent him out on loan twice despite him being your best striker.
Drogba was our main striker in his first season here.

In his second season, he asked to be loaned because he wanted to play regularly because of the WC

Now that Eto'o and Ba are leaving, Lukaku, alongside the other striker we bring in will be the main striker.

The fact is you have no evidence.

lol

Lukaku was sent on loan to get regular game time when your other option was Torres ? He clearly should have been getting regular game time.

Then he was sent on loan again, and your best striker scored 12 goals in 34 games, compared to Rom's 16 in 33 for us. He clearly should have been starting for you.

Finally there's the fact that you're now looking to spend big on a striker who will clearly be your main one. You play a system which utilises one out and out striker, you can't have two 'main' strikers in that system, it simply doesn't work.

We'll see where Lukaku is playing next season. I bet it won't be Chelsea.
