Im not THAT bothered if we get him.

Complete confidence we can get someone else to push people over and cut them down while running.

That's kind of how I am too.

Would like him, but if we get someone else, i'm sure they'll be as good if not better.

it is a key position that does require an old head imo though.

if dembele rumours are true, the only way that would be possible is if we'd given up on barry and decided mccarthy would play his role and then dembele alongside. we would never splash sucha fee on dembele to have him competing with mccarthy for that one spot.

still think it's all BS, but what a partnership that would be.

I think people are forgetting that Darron Gibson can easily play the Barry role. Free "transfer" and outrageous passer of the ball. He'll be massive next year.

Very true.

He was so important to us at times when he was fit. Really hope he stays fit.

If he goes he goes,but I strangely have a feeling that he owes us a bit of loyalty.Well aware that sounds stupid,clearly he was stagnating at City, not getting anywhere near the squad.they'd replaced his position and all he was looking forward to was reserve team football,with his contract running down until they let him go.
Everton & Roberto has totally rejuvenated his career to the point where he was considered in some quarters as a possibility for the world cup,RM didn't push him into signing in the window and showed total respect to the man.
Now other clubs are showing interest where 12 months ago there was none, Everton have brought him back to the forefront in English football terms ,and I'd like to think he's a decent lad and will recognize the job our club has done for him,it's a two way street and I am hoping he might show some respect to us.

probably wishful thinking but you never know.

As much as I like Barry and think he was very good last season, but he should be knocking on Martinez's door begging him to let him play for us next season.

Those 5 games when he's not injured, he'll be absolutely boss
