Let me put it this way...Cleverley would be better than Ossie on the wing or deep...not so sure in the AM role
We already have A. Kone, it plays up front and cost 6millionRather save the extra few million an not buy Cleverley or Milner, I would rather play a traffic cone than either of them.
Cheers cheese...I infer then, the same as your concluding sentence. RM knows him well and might see him and McCarthy as a DM spine for the future. But then again, we all might be talking pyar tosh (won't be the first time lol)OK...let's have a think on that then. Ossie is terrible in a deep role...too small, too slow. He's been played on the wing, where he doesn't fit cause he's too slow. His best position really is in the #10 spot...where, frankly, he can make an impact with his passing and vision...even if he has short comings such as size and speed. I'd reckon if we signed him, Cleverley would play a bit deeper...not the advanced AM role.
Which could mean, if this thread is indeed true, that Barry might not be in the cards

It's like an Alice through the looking glass, magical mystery tour. It provides me with multitudinous laughs, on multi-various avenueHAHAHA...they call January silly season...summer should be called Pyar Tosh Season...or PTS if you will
This place can be a fantastic read...I was just reading Gibson's thread when it was still speculation...good stuff of course @chicoazul never posted...was on page 14 and still hadn't seen @MoutsGoat either.
that's Mrs Cleverley...he chose his spouse cleverly.
Barry will sign for the team who offers him the best package, more than likely Arsenal.
Positions are out the window, you can forget about attacking midfielders playing deeply centrally for me he wants a certain type of player in the McCarthy, Cleverly, mould. You have to look at the three in front of the double pivot as strikers - they need to contribute 8+ goals a season to the system each - if we play with one up front we need 15 goals, but also someone who can play the lead role withing that system and adapt to our style of play.
I beleive in Kone.
The three behind the forward is an are we need to look to improve in term sof goals and assists, for me we should have players who can provide 8 goals and 8 assists if your going to play this system and be realistcaly in Cl territory. Last season we had:
Del: 3 goals/4 assists.
McGeady 0 goals/1 assist
Pienaar 1 goal / 3 assists
Osman 3 gaols/ 6 assists
Barkley 6 goals/4 assists
Milrrallis (was by far our most productive) with 9 goals/7 assists.
Lukake incidently was sublime with 15 gaols/9 assists.
The above was masked a little by both Baines 5 gaos/5assists and Coleman 6 goals/2 assists.
