He's 16! Let him develop in the u21s he's even still eligible for the u18s next year ffs. Stick with McCarthy, Barry, gibbo, Barkley, ossie, lundstrum, even grant first, then if we are short or can rest players give him a few minutes here and there. He still needs to grow and bulk up abit, especially for centre mid. You look at all the players that have come through apart from wingers maybe, shaw, Rooney, Micah Richards, Barkley, they were all big lads able to deal with the physicality of the prem

I only mention those options as he made the bench towards the end of this season.

I agree though, still very young and longer time in the u21s may be beneficial.

Watch the U17 last night and Bryan Hamilton was well impressed with Ledson and Kenny, with the commentator mentioning the School of Science. Ledson led by example and was always in the middle of the park playing a holding role. Bryan Hamilton mentioned that Kenny has been watching Seamus, so much that a number of times he ended up in the centre forward position.

I really hope they go all the way, What it does show is our academy is working and we are producing good young players. We all know not all of them will make it but sometimes a couple shine and we seem to have that in a few age groups. I'm excited to watch how these lads develop.

the age group below kenny and ledson is thought to have even more potential.;)

After the under 18 final Sheedy was praising the centre mids, Williams and Charsley who are both eligible again next year but said they would have to keep working hard and watch their backs as the next bunch of 1st years coming through were very good.

...watched as well and really impressed with our two. Chuffed to bits for them, it must be fantastic part of their development to have been a part of winning a major youth competition like that, especially taking key penalties in the final. The Bryan Hamilton comments were interesting in that it shows how ex-players can focus on their old club and send messages to viewers. Pity virtually all Premiership coverage is influenced by ex-reds.

Ledson is better than Llundstram already. And Grant.
