remember players like scott spencer joao silva john paul kissock hahaha can anyone remember a few more what you havent heard of for years?

I lived near a nutjob fatty who claimed she was scott spencer's girlfriend and he was going to take her to Jamaica and buy her a Ferrari for her birthday.

Felt I had to share that for some reason. Anyway, i think everyone's been mentioned now.

Top 5 for me

Denis
Tony Thomas
Paul Holmes
David Ginola
Mark Hughes

Gascoigne wasn't that bad, was he? Maybe my memory is failing me but I thought he did ok.

This season.

Alcaraz.

Needs to perform better next season that is for sure.

...I think that is a bit unfair. He's been highlighted the last few games, but I really think Jagielka was worst v City. I think this fella is fine and a long way from being one of our worst players, trust me.

Sorry, I'm not following you there mate...maybe I'm thick.

Surely though Ossie doesn't warrant a shout as 'WORST' player to play in an Everton shirt. Maybe he's not warranted as much playing time recently as he's gotten, but worst is very harsh.

We've had far, FAR worse players...

Got a daft DVD xmas just gone "Everton's Greatest Premier League XI" and Osman actually voted by the fans was our best right winger ever in the Premiership years, was wondering if the votes were taken from here by the sounds of things.

I'll tell you way I find him considered to be the worst because everyone who has under preformed for Everton was shipped out bar him over 10 years, he's awful and the fact people say he can't half control a ball, so what it's what he does with it after is what counts an that's pretty much nothing if he can't pass sideways to Baines.

So Barrett was a good defender and Osman a good midfielder ok then

I think Barrett was technically a good defender... just not for us at any time whatsoever.

Same with Alexandersson - before joining us he was a flying winger, then proceeded to do absolutely nothing in a blue shirt.

I think there's been much worse in terms of technical ability to play for us than either of those two, but the thread is about those who were atrocious in a blue shirt, and they're certainly candidates in that respect.

Still though, Claus Thomsen takes some beating for me. Oh, and Paul Gerrard.

Got it in one, mate. Barrett's distribution was woeful, bordering on embarrassing, but he was good at defending.

Anyone who thinks Osman is a poor player, despite all the evidence to the contrary, is either blinkered beyond belief or knows bugger all about football.

......Ginola and Hughes are a bit harsh considering what they achieved in the game. Couldn't have either of those in the same group as the others. Actually played against and know Tony, although I was a lot older than him at that stage. Tough lad and a decent player, but found his level at Tranmere.

Easily worst him and Hibbert FA Cup final 2009 absolutely raped down the right hand side no doubt was a major contributor as to why we never won that day.

But suppose that's just silly too?

I'm with you mate.

Another one who should be on the list is Tim Cahill. No technique, couldn't pass and worst of was awful in the air.

All he done was run around and foul defenders.

Phil Neville was a far worse football player than Osman and got loads of games. Doesn't make him the worst player to wear a blue shirt.

Two managers rated him well enough to put him on the pitch...I think they know a bit more about football than you or I. I think you are confusing 'worst player' with 'Everton should do better'.
