Stonkingly good record.

currently listening to savage garden on heart f.m lol

You know what they sound decent. not a major fan of them by any means but their songs sounded good, even if it is just background music right now.

So it seems the Matthew Street Festival has been scrapped for an event in Sefton Park this year. I hadn't been in a few years but last time I went it was just people vomiting with a few awful cover acts thrown in. Just looked through the line up not expecting to see anyone I recognised, and whilst there's not many that I'd watch, I think it's a decent line-up for a free festival.

Popular acts: Little Mix, JLS, Rebecca Ferguson, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (actually wouldn't mind seeing these), The Farm, The Charlatans, Eliza Doolittle, Delphic, Merchandise (want to see these) and The Joy Formidable (and these).

So, not too many I'd actually go to see but there's a few acts that are sure to draw a few people in.

Seems like Sound City will go that way for 2015. Speaking to one of the team when i was there who basically said all the venue's are getting greedy and being a massive pain in the arse, so they might change it to somewhere near the docks next year.

Was a great event this year.

Really weird that Merchandise are there. Would probably go see Ghostpoet and Little Mix too if I went.

Oh yeah? That's a shame. I was speaking to someone who said they thought it was a bit of a rip off and poorly organised. Sound City would be ace if it was an open air festival. I haven't been to Sound City in about 3 years as it's always around frigging exam time!
