alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
When Roberto was appointed a lot of fans were not warm to his appointment but this season has proved to be a successful one at that. I have not known one fan to come forward to admit that he or she was one of the one's who doubted his appointment. I was always in favour of Roberto coming to Everton because of the football he played at Wigan despite their relegation.
We as a club will get stronger and better. Roll on next season

Roll on the good times! Onwards and upwards

I was always one that was very happy with him,and could not believe how or why so many didnt want him just because he was relegated with not as good a team as Everton,he was always going to do well with better players, didnt expect europa or 5th place quite this fast though, expected 8th when so many said they would be happy just to get into top 10 etc-i am happy he has proved so many people wrong everton fans or not-the big thing is to keep it up next season as it might be just as hard to get this many points etc as we have achieved

*raises hand*

Really wasn't fussed with his appointment either but, despite still having one or two reservations, I agree he's been great for us so far :)

I was ok with him at the time.

But he wasn't my first choice and prior to that fa cup quarter final at goodison I wouldn't have touched him for a barge pole.

So, I was very much wrong about him. And he has proved, beyond doubt, to have been the right man for the job.

Well done, Bill.

You beat me to the punch! was just about to write a thread like this.

Couldn't agree more. So proud of this club and the season we had.. Next year I reckon will be mega. I like to think the Europa League won't be viewed as a burden.. our league form may slip, granted, however in the long run we will become stronger. Just look at Athletico Madrid.. Roberto had a dream!! :D

I always wanted him as I always thought that Moyes assembled a side that was made for his system (that wasn't necessilary true for everyone as Fellani strength isn't possession footie but he did well in getting rid of him). Plus he gets players, some of whom come from Scotland to play good footie. Yea wigan was relegated but that was Whelan's fault for not him any money to spend and his 1st choice GK and entire back line was knackered.

I admit I had doubts, I was worried that he wasn't up to it. How wrong I was he has shakne this club up and given us real progress for the first time in several years
