What exactly are you getting at please?[/QUOTE]

I think we have a right to feel aggrieved at the ban. I'm not sure how old you are, but at the time it was rather devastating to us as a club - and us fans too. The fact that LFC fans were rather pleased about it speaks volumes too. The use of the word "moan", possibly suggests that we are being churlish. I'm sure that was not the intention. :)

Anyway, what we want - what LFC want and what City want re: the result tomorrow - will have little bearing on what happens. We merely watch from the sidelines.

We CAN beat City and have done so many times. The law of averages suggest that City are due a win at our place. If Yaya and the rest of the all-stars are up for it - even if we play out of our skins - we are in for a tough match. City will be slight favourites. Our performance at Southampton was one of a team that had 'gone'.

If we lose, it will be on merit and the LFC fans and the media may well struggle to accept it - and the fur will fly.

It was an absolute hammer blow to EFC.

We lost the best manager we ever had due to it.....we lost the best post war striker we had due to it....and the greatest team in EFC's history was denied a chance at the biggest prize in club football due to it.

And does anyone doubt we would have blown a hole in either of the two finalists that first year after the ban, Steaua Bucharest and Barcelona (that Barca team was a very different beast to the one of recent years)?

No, sod the bollox and cut through the crap.

I am bitter and proud to be bitter.

We have lots to be bitter about.

That football team across the park has heaped great shame on this city and this country over the years, from Heysel to Athens, from Aldridge to Suarez.:whip:

You're not sure how old I am? I'm old enough to remember the time, thanks. I do feel aggrieved at the ban. Are you suggesting I don't understand the significance of it? Rest assured I do.

I used "moan" to keep it short and to the point. Are we really arguing about word choice? You disagree with me, which is fine, but disagree with my point and not a singular word.
