ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

He has been trying to goad people all week and is not averse to twisting people's words or even inventing them.

You !! claiming people will cheer city goals this weekend. You've been twisting comments about people not being arsed if city win this weekend, with actually celebrating city goals, should they score any.

Ty quoting one of my posts and argue your point against that. Calling someone a WUM and claiming they're saying stuff (without actually quoting them) instead of arguing their point is just admitting defeat. Also, you seem to ignore the existence of that disgraceful thread on the main forum about how many blues will be supporting City to beat us.

If you do seem intent on focussing on the individual, I can do that too. You've got Khalekan who's posts are full of changing his mind, from wanting us to lose, to wanting us to win after all, to wanting us to lose again. He doesn't seem really sure how to support Everton himself. And then you've got someone with a name like "blue4eva", who first stated he will be supporting City, then brands those supporting Everton as kopites, now is conceding that he'll still be pleased even if we win.

Neither of you do yourself any favours.

So let's not focus on the individual behind the posts, let's focus on the actual debate.

Remember my main argument:

by supporting us to lose because it slightly increases the chance Liverpool don't win the title (remember RS & City still have 2 more to play after our game) you set a dangerous precedent for yourself. It may mean you supporting the likes of Man City and Chelsea in their 2 games each against us next season, as they may be Liverpool's title rivals again, and them getting maximum points off us decreases the chance the RS will win the title next year.

There's no going back once you decide to support the opposing team.

But I fear this point is too close to the bone, so may not get anyone actually debating it.

RAWK update

I'm hearing a massive amount of news outlets, radio and media saying the majority of Everton fans want them to get beat by Manchester City to stop us winning the league. Obviously, as a Liverpool fan i find that particularly annoying however when you look at it from an Everton perspective, them beating Manchester City is the best thing they could ever do, for themselves.

If Everton lose to Manchester City, Everton fans can say "HAHAHA, WE LOST AND IT COST YOU THE LEAGUE". Great, but that'll be boring in 10 minutes and you'll still be the pathetic club from around the corner, forever in the shadow and still small time. However, if Everton win, and we then go on to win the title, they'll forever be able to say "We helped you win the league. You [Poor language removed] it up, and we bailed you out. No more small time Everton, you're now in our debt". We couldn't say a [Poor language removed] word to them again about it. As an Everton fan, i'd much rather that option.

Hi, i know you're reading, it will never EVER get boring.

"No more small time Everton" Hahaha you seem to be under the impression we give a fudge when you use that epithet.. we literally couldn't care less.

As an actual Everton fan I want the option of being able to laugh at Stevie G's slip for the rest of my days. Cheerio.

Lads, can we keep this thread Liverpool related please. I for one am growing slightly weary of the whole discussion about Saturdays game, and that thread about it does my head in, so please keep other threads clear of it.

If the worst comes to the worst and we do lose we should chant "Merseyside" in a sign of solidarity with our neighbours. They would like that. It's all about the city after all.

That's the problem, roydo...that thread is all about Liverpool. We've had multiple threads lately essentially all about the same thing: the fear of them winning the title.

Can't we lock them all and direct discussion to just this thread, like we do with the Kenwright/Board stuff?

Just a suggestion, it might help us in the main forum focus on all things Everton again.

No i branded you as a kopite because in the relative short time frame that ive been posting on here, certain comments you make back this up. Honestly im sure im not the only one who thinks this either.

And no, i don't do vaulting and won't go back in time to search for these comments. I know they exist, as ive seen them. But you carry on twisting Evertonian comments on here to paint the picture you really want in your mind, through being a red and a WUM.

Next you will convince yourself that the city fans wearing City shirts at Goodison this weekend, were infact scousers.

They often make the mistake of thinking that everyone else talks as though they play for the team they support.

Poznan is deffo happening methinks, purely for the popcorn. The fume will be beautiful.
I do think that would be really funny haha, maybe if they go 3 ahead or something. If it happened at like 1-0 it would look bit pathetic but after that then it would be a good joke

Lads, I think I will support any team that plays against us in the future, as that will mean they will have 3 more points in their battle to finish above the RS.

Seriously, we talk of the cult of kopitism. But I'm worried that some blues have unwittingly become part of that cult themselves. Spreading its power by their own ultra-focussed negative energy towards it. The hold of the Kult is so bad it's even got you wanting us to lose important games to spite them, and even then the 'spiting' part isn't guaranteed. You're making them more powerful than they ever deserve to be.

No sympathy for any of you if we lose to City yet RS still end up winning the league.

@roydo soz for bringing it up again...my last word on this whole sorry saga. I'm self-banning myself from all RS-related threads until the league champions (whoever they may be) are confirmed.
