He plays a different game under Martinez and misses pienaar badly.
Last season he was attacking a lot more but bainsey and coleman are more restricted under Martinez.
Well thats not true, coleman spends more time in the opponents half and box than he does his own, you cant blame roberto for baines not being at his best

I am not blaming Roberto I am just making the point that bainsey attacked a lot more last season.
Coleman also bombed on a lot more last season.

I think, under Martinez, Baines has become much less effective, and Coleman has become much more effective.

Sad to think I can count his inspiration moments from this season on two fingers...

I am not one to get all anti over a loss, but in honesty, Baines has been average this year and is really riding the coattails of reputation after two very good previous years of performance. Next season he must do better.

deffo not been at his best this year, lost a yard of pace it seems, oviedo is the future for me though, baines still hasn't adapted to our style under rm, oviedo was a natural

You cant blame baines for not attacking as much , we dont seem to switch the play much to his side these days in good attacking positions. Baines is like a playmaker at left back

Jeez are we saying Baines hasn't been good now?

Compared to whom?

In an "average" season he best stats (key passes, accurate crosses, chances created, goals let in) of any left back in the league by a mile. It isnt even close.
